Dems Need to be Ready for Iranian October Surprise
Regardless of the nominee, we need to have a plan in-place to guard against outright war/bombings, or brinksmanship before the election (this has been Rove's MO time and time again).

If this happens, the nominee cannot be count off-balance. :(

3. I guess we are lucky to have a candidate

Who would be in full agreement with such an attack. The Dems can out-macho the Republicans. The whimpy candidate will complain, but the real she-man candidate will say "Us Dems are the real macho dudes -- obliterate them! obliterate them!"

:sarcasm:

5. Why wait? Call and write your reps.
Let them know your concerns. Sure, there is a primary going on but we can walk AND chew gum at the same time so let's keep the heat on the folks who CAN do something about it. (Many of these folks will be running for office again...)

Your comment in your profile: "If you are going to come out of the closet have something fabulous to wear", is absolutely excellent! I have some friends who will love that one.

13. I agree
I have written my Representatives almost a month ago. I got a reply back from Senator Patty Murray,(D-WA) which I started this thread here in the DU on.

I will be responding to her response to me with my concerns. I believe I will be posting something to Representative Pelosi and Senator Reid tomorrow. There is a new carrier group going to the gulf...this combined with all the saber rattling coming out of the bush-hawks has me concerned.

7. If there's one time they won't bomb Iran it's in October
way too much of a gamble. People so distrust the bush admin that this could well help the dems. And lest we forget, people have been prdicting the imminent attack on Iran with utter confidence for over two years now, here at DU. Although I think bushco is capable of anything, that window has pretty much closed. I'm worried about dirty tricks in October, but I don't think they'll bomb Iran

9. haven't we all been here before..Reagan??
the more things change...the more they stay the same :grr:

Congress needs to clip Bush/Cheney's wings before they do something even more dangerous than they have done so far..

I have NO doubt that he's gonna leave a stink-bomb..like his Pa did with Somalia..
