5. Point by point...
It's insulting in that Her Royal Clintonness is trying to convince Democrats that she is deserving of the nomination despite having lost the contest thus far.

It's divisive in that she has consistently used deplorable tactics to paint Obama as an "elitist", "maybe-Muslim", or an "empty suit", while simultaneously, she has implicitly praised John McCain while calling Barack Obama's far superior anti-war credentials as nothing more than "a speech he gave in 2002"

Finally, she's irreparbly damaging the Democratic Party for the reasons above (as well as numerous others).

2. actually, I don't think it's irreparably damaging to the dem party
but I do agree that she often insults my intelligence and that her campaign has been unnecessarily divisive.

3. I disagree.
I think she is a wonderful and inspirational person. If she does not win the presidency she will go on to do great things.

19. The only great thing I would like to see in her future is...
...that a Dem challenger, i.e., a REAL Democrat, takes away her US Senate seat and this lying POS DINO retires and is never seen again.

4. attack..attack..attack
That is so old school.

If McCains' camp does it in the GE, they will be labeled old school too.

The biggest reason I am supporting Obama is it is time to get rid of the division, turn the page and move on to something besides rhetoric.

The media is overloading us on "junk"
Where the hell is the discussion on issues?

Not on DU anymore either.

We have picked sides, and weaponized.
More of the lock and load kind of politicking.

7. You in Morgantown, fellow Mountaineer?
I am.

:)

Speaking of which, Bill Clinton is here right now, stumping for Hillary in front of Woodburn. I have to go up there for class in 45 minutes. Hopefully he'll be finished with his pandering by then.

I support Obama for exactly the same reason as you. He hasn't yet degraded the tone of his campaign to the stupid petty bullshit that Hillary and McSame fling in spades, and I sincerely doubt he will.

belong in the party, I don't know. If Clinton wins, I see a DNC without Dean and the 50 state strategy and an alienation that comes with winning ugly. I see a third way foreign and domestic policy that I'm not comfortable with. I see the constitution going forth as a secondary issue except for abortion rights. I don't see the rights some of us fought hard for such as IDEA and ADA surviving no matter which candidate wins because that has already been conceded in the previous congress. I'm pretty down and defeated but I'm also unhappy at the prospects for my learning disabled son's future in a social Darwinistic country. I should say I gave it the good fight but I won't see any fruit in my lifetime unless either the economy collapses (which forces change no matter how much propaganda is out there) or I live a very long time.

12. No, Some OBAMA Supporters are hurting here on DU, they are the one's
Who are making me really think of EVER supporting Obama. I worked and worked my butt off for John Kerry in FL. We got Fl really close and my county was for the first time blue. I took my 2 weeks vacation from work and used it all to fight, fight to get Kerry in the WH and stop the swifting mindset. But for the past few months the Obama people on here have called names, made fun and had a terrible attitude. Some joke around out how they can get every "Hillbot" on ignore or TS. Its sick and it is pushing a lot of us away.

I may still vote for Obama... MAY.... but I will not fight like I had in years past.

15. Well, to be fair...
Hillary's bullshit reaches a much wider audience than does the rhetoric of DU's "Obamatrons".

"Some joke around out how they can get every "Hillbot" on ignore or TS."

I've been guilty of that in the past, and I apologize for it. I personally quit using ignore, it made DU less fun.

But I forgot, you Hillarites don't much care for facts or truthfulness.

And it's your Queen who is dividing Democrats, don't try to ignore that obvious truth.

14. Let me add disorganized and wasteful to that.
Her campaign has blown through money leaving a mountain of IOUs and her staff has been in disarray throughout. If she can't run her campaign, she can't run the country.

Edited on Thu May-01-08 08:32 AM by Evergreen Emerald
show the opposite.

Indeed Obama is the one shouting "Racism!" every time the momentum goes Clinton's way. Obama is the one in a whisper campaign about how evil and "Racist!" Clinton is. Obama is the one who lied and distorted and then attacked the Clinton Presidential legacy to win elections. Obama is the one lying about Clinton's health care plan using right-wing tactics to scare people from changing health care. That is just a few of the divisive tactics that Obama is using to divide and conquer.

You got it backwards.

20. I suppose that Obama grabbed hold of Bill Clinton's brain...
And made him say things like "Let's not forget, Jesse Jackson won South Carolina in 1988", or "What's Obama going to say next? I don't steal cars?"

But Obama is the one injecting race into this, not the Clintons and the media, right?

"Obama is the one lying about Clinton's health care plan using right-wing tactics to scare people from changing health care."

Please give a concrete example, because frankly, those statements are untrue.

22. The "Racsim!" shouts started before Clinton said
anything about Jackson. Time-lines are important.

injecting race: Obama ADMITTED that his campaign sent e-mails and letters to the media accusing Clinton of racism...regarding MLK and "Fairy tale" comments that had nothing to do with race. It was a well planned attack--purposefully used to divide America and to use "RACISM!" shouts to win.

Obama sent out a flyer using the scaring people using the same Harry and Louise rightwing tactic that killed healthcare last time...you want facts? Where the hell have you been?

How is it that you are unaware of these facts?
