It's over. Hillary is the nominee.
It's been proven that Obama is unelectable in the GE. Hillary has the same "baggage" for the last 20 years and will get no traction.

She has won the majority of the big states in this primary, while Obama hasn't posted a win in a couple months.

Now, are you Obama supporters going to vote Hillary?

Sarcasm note: I know the primary is not over (that's my point really), but still answer the last question: if Hillary gets the nomination, will you Obama supporters support her?

99. Yep, they're pretty much Tweedledum & dee
not much difference. I'll support the winner.

At this point I hope it's Obama, but not by much.

They're both better than McCain. I guess that's my rousing endorsement.

Neither will push for real universal health care. Either would do a half-assed attempt to get out of Iraq.

19. There is this threatening tone about your message . . .
What's that about? How has it been "proven" that Obama is unelectable? All that's been proven is that a Dem is willing to use the same tactics as the GOP when it comes to fighting dirty.

And not all of Hillary's "baggage" is 20 years old. Some of it is mighty fresh. For example, see the robo-calls from "women's voices, women's votes" that have been aimed at depressing African-American turnout in North Carolina and elsewhere. Disgusting.

Are we supposed to bend over again after she wins by treachery?

The more I see of this crap, the more sick it will make me to vote for her, if it came to that, which I hope it won't.

That's all I wanted to see. Only one person said that they would vote for Hillary if she gets the nod.

A good many said no way.

The majority simple said that I was delusional / crazy / etc.

On the other hand, when this topic is reversed, the vast majority of Hillary supporters (myself included) state that they will indeed support Obama. We might say things like "It's not over" or "Let the voting continue", but we usually say that we will support the Democratic candidate.

Maybe if Hillary gets the nod, the Obama supporters can get Rev. Wright to run a third party.

61. I can happily say that I won't have to, but
if the sky should fall and logic and the numbers are turned on their heads and Hillary somehow manages to snake this thing, then I will hold my nose and vote for her. Anything is better than McCain.

ohh that's right... it is just your opinion.

I will support Hillary... but it depends on HOW she gets the nom. If she gets the nom by getting FL and MI seated in anyway other than a 50/50 split, then I will support her. If they are seated how they are and it makes the difference I will vote Nader.

FL and MI deserve fair and open elections(aka informed voters...informed as to whether or not there are any delegates at stake)

65. Over McShame- absolutely. Will I work for her or contribute money?
Probably- most probably- not.

But - regardless of the anger and total disappointment I feel towards the Clintons now, and in spite of how disgusting they have run their campaign and regardless of how much damage they have done to our party by trying to destroy Obama - she, and the team she will surround herself with will be far better then anyone or anything McSame will come up with.

And to those of you thinking of not voting if your candidate does not win-- or= worse yet- anyone thinking of voting for McCain -- think of these two words-- SUPREME COURT. Remember? The team that illegally handed the crown to King George in 2000? Same team that just voted to allow states to demand photo identification for voters (=Poll tax)- the ones who don't give a shit about our constitution (not all but most)? Think right to choose, think habeas corpus, think CONSTITUTION-- and at least 2 seats- maybe 3 will be up in the next term. Think people-- remember what's at risk here-- your rights- my rights- OUR RIGHTS as citizens.

After the way Mrs. Clinton has conducted her campaign, I don't trust her to carry out any of her promises. Her entire first four years will be a bridge to getting elected again in 2012, and her remaining four years will be a bridge to her "legacy."

I don't believe she has our backs, or our interests, at heart. I don't believe she has her party, or her country, at heart. Based on her actions, all Hillary has is Hillary.

I'll write in the candidate I believe is best qualified to serve, it will be a democrat, but it won't be Hillary.

However, I could conceivably support Clinton as our VP, simply because I think she would help Obama seal the deal, and because I know that the role of VP can be minimized substantially by an active President.

72. I too believe the tide is turning.
And it makes me nauseous to say so.

And I would not have said it even last week, but I now believe it is apparent that Mrs. Clinton is gathering momentum for a late surge to capture the Democratic nomination.

If she pulls out Indiana and makes it close in NC -- as the recent polling indicates she is doing -- her case for the nomination becomes stronger. Obama is having difficulty shaking the seemingly endless Wright controversy, and every day that is the news it hurts him.

One other statistical observation as evidence in the case for Mrs. Clinton: both retail store figures as well as eyewitness accounts across the country report a collapse in the sales -- and wearing -- of thong underwear and a corresponding increase in that of 100% cotton granny panties.

(Gotcha.)

I'll undervote the presidential race if she is the nominee. I don't even buy the Supreme Court argument, because we'll just get some corporate fuckstick who supports reproductive freedom instead of one opposed to it. And if that is what comes to pass, all those miserable Clinton people better remember to embrace change in 2012, or the Democratic Party is hist-O-ree.

Call me sexist if you choose. Just don't call me late to dinner.

78. If Clinton gets the nomination, this Obama supporter will vote for her.
Working for her is another question. I have limited time and might choose to volunteer for other campaigns (Congressional or state legislative). Those races are less important but I can have more of an impact.

Living in New York, I can't usefully go door-to-door in the presidential race except by taking a long bus ride. Right here in NYC, though, we have a chance to oust a Bushbot Congressman.

Clinton's support for the war and her conduct of her campaign definitely lessen my enthusiasm for her, which affects my decision about where to spend my time.

89. By hasn't won "in a couple of months" you actually mean, has won as many as HRC in the past 3 weeks
If you go back two months, you have four primary wins for HRC and two for Obama. If you go back one month you have one for HRC. Of course, if you consider caucuses you have to add another to the OBama win column. And then there is Texas, where HRC won the primary, but ended losing the delegate race.

And as for the answer to your question, if it should come to pass that HRC gets the nomination, I will vote for her.

Question back: if Obama gets the nomination will you change your ID to barack_win_2008?

I get away from DU for several days and engage people outside of this board and read some wide and varied news sources. And then I come here and see stuff like this and it literally makes me giggle. And it makes me a tiny bit scared. Are there actually real living breathing people who believe the stuff said in the OP? The few supporters of Hillary I know IRL have stopped talking about her, and one conceded to me she knows Hillary won't win and has known it for a while.

As to supporting Hillary... in the unlikely event it becomes pertinent, it would depend. Who would be the VP? Would she keep saying absolutely idiotic things that go against my moral beliefs? What will she do to win my vote? Will she join in and state unequivicaly that she will open full investigation of Bushco and if appropriate, a full prosecution?

I will NOT vote for Hillary Clinton in the GE if she gets the nomination by Super Delegate coup because her campaign has declared Obama "unelectable." :puke:

He has the lead in delegates and the lead in number of States; so if it's over TODAY, HE is the nominee.

IMHO, Hillary Clinton is "unelectable" and the GOP and their pigs in the Corporate Media will surely bring up her "baggage" in the GE against McCain.

If you think the Corporate Media went into overdrive trying to tie Obama to his Pastor, think of what they will do with tying Hillary to her cheating and adulterous HUSBAND. :eyes:
