McCain says he won't use Wright against Obama this fall

http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/0508/McCain_says_he_wont_use_Wright_against_Obama_this_fall.html

Appearing on "Fox and Friends" this morning, McCain was asked if he would use the Rev. Jeremiah Wright issue against Obama in the general election.

“No. The American people will make that decision and he’ll have that discussion with them. I’ve said that I don’t think he shares Rev. Wright’s views.”

7. True but Wright has already been out there forever. Hagee hasn't. Wait til that comes out.
There will be a lot of pissed-off Catholics etc.

13. That's because, hopefully, McCain will be too busy
explaining why he voted against expannding the current GI Bill.

That little nugget of info should be plastered in an ad on the front page of the Army, Air Force and Navy TIMES from now until Election Day.

2. This is a topic that's worth discussion, at least.
It's a more principled stand than what's coming out of HC's camp on this issue.

3. don't speak for your Swift Boaters, grampa.
and if the Dems leave adultery off the table, they're as stupid as the GOP thinks the american public is.

cindy mccain is a lot closer to mccain than wright is to obama.

5. TRANSLATION: "I CAN'T use wright against Obama
because Obama has disowned him whereas I have not disowned Revs. Hagee and Paisley."

8. Why should he?
Running ads cost money but the MSM will cover it at no cost to the McCain campaign.

14. McCain has ran a much more civil campaign so far than Hillary
Isnt that sad?

When the NC GOP wanted to air an ad against Obama and his ties to Wright, McCain blasted them for it.

When the moron Cunningham insisted on calling Obama, Hussein Obama to smear him with that muslim bs, McCain blasted him for doing that.

On the other hand Hillary has run the 3 am ad and told 60 minutes that he would take Obama's word for it that he was not a muslim!

15. This statement is calculated
to make him appear "above the fray" and more "statesmanlike". He's hoping that it will be long forgotten before the fall. I wouldn't put it past the GOP to use racism against Obama if he is the nominee, though.

16. Of course not. Given his paltry funding, he can't afford to. He'll let the 527s do that.
