The polls show that Hillary's rating went up when she did the following:

Supported Republican "Gas Tax Holiday".
Said that she would"obliterate" Iran.
She perpetuated the Repub talking point that Barack might be a Muslim.
She took Republican side on Wright and Ayers.
She has been cozying up with Fox for a while and went on O'Reilly. I mean another show maybe, but O'REILLY

Seriously, we here at the DU have railed against Lieberman for some time for this behavior.

So these poll numbers of hers I think are because she is acting like a Republican.

Prove me wrong. Show me how the numbers going up because of some liberal or Democratic supporting position.

I for one do not want a Democrat as our nominee who gains support by acting like Lieberman.

*spelling*

2. It's too soon to tell what the numbers are doing.
She is acting like Lieberman but, after the last flap, Obama may come back stronger because his response was stronger and more definite. Don't let the media spin push you. All they really want are their damn ratings.

3. So is your argument that liberal ideas are poltical liabilities?
"She me how the numbers going up because of some liberal or Democratic supporting position"

Umm she just went on O'Reilly and talked about universal health care and how important it is to this country, turning away repeated attempts by him to call it unfeasible.

7. I think poll numbers can go up when someone passionately supports positions.
Liberal or Conservative. I just happen to think he numbers going up happen to be when she is getting more conservative. Haven't seen too many Loyal Dem stuff out of her lately.

As for Universal health care. I am an absolute supporter of UHC. But to me Hillary's plan is not UHC. It is Universal Privatized Health Care. To me it is like Privatizing Social Security. I do not want my money taken out of my pay check and given to a private company without my permission. With it, fine, but without, hell no. To the US government for National Care fine. NOT PRIVATE.

18. She sure did win over a lots of hearts and minds ...
I checked out the foxnews blogs after the program and I was shocked at the large number of positive and respectful posts from longtime Repubs and Indies. A few of them even took the time to put Dennis in his place.

Hell has frozen over.

5. but that's what you're getting from here on out.
pandering to the ignorance, selfishness & xenophobia of the electorate has a long tradition in american politics.

this race has already gone as far left as it will, and now it swings right. right back to the same rut we've been stuck in forever.

hillary's camp has read "don't think of an elephant" and decided to dismiss it.

12. No, it's because Obama is allowing her to dominate the news cycles and to define him.
Hillary is doing what she is doing, it's Obama's job to successfully COUNTER THAT.

And he is failing. Big Time.

It is OUR responsibility to defend him. WE have to do it. WE have to be his defense. We cannot allow ourselves to judge him on their standards.

20. Even Democrats can judge people by Republican standards. Fall for MSM crap.
I also happen to think that Independents can be just as representative of liberal ideals as declared Dems. MANY Independents are Dems who left the party when it was acting weak.

26. So if Lieberman was in the running, that would still apply then right.
If I said, Liebreman is taking Republican positions, but it is okay because he is running as "a candidate determined to win the White House for the Democratic Party."
That would be okay right? By the way, if you say okay, I'll know how your voting in Nov.
