Big time.

One thing I have been noticing. When delegates declare for Obama, they articulate very good reasons for doing so instead of the same tepid pap you normally hear.

It's getting so the talking pundits are afraid to ask these people why they are declaring for Obama. They get a mouthful and then want to shut them up about it.

1. Yup, won't be the last one, either.
It's just the beginning. The race is already over, Obama's lead will accelerate.

2. Agreed. Even in Lois Capps' case....
...although she had not declared for anyone else first, she was pretty devoted to Hillary.

And the reason she changed--that Obama embodies so much of Walter Capps' ideals--rings to true to me.

4. How many Clinton delegates have switched to Obama (seems like lots)? Have any gone the other way?

6. I think the delegates are looking at this thing far differently than
the public is. They see the value of bringing all those new voters in and the fundraising ability.

Hillary's people want to win by "polls". The new voter registrations and the money show far more than "polls" do.

10. Polls can be infuenced by the media machine
And they (corporate politicians and their allies) have the media machine in their pocket. The mighty Wurlitzer has been really spinning for four weeks in a desperate effort to denude Obama's aura of serenity that attracts so many voters.

I think the superdelegates are beginning to see that if they do not end this, most of this party will be kneeing each other in the groin to the beat of the Wurlitzer all the way to the GE. The Wurlitzer is a powerful and influential thing when it becomes synchronized...think about it....a good portion of the US was literally raised by the boob tube. It is their mother and father.

15. The question for the SDs is
whether they want to play to the future of the party, rather than the past. It's as simple as that.

If the SD's break for Hillary, she may get the nomination and she may even get in office -- this time. But the Democrats will have squandered the future of the party.

9. They can switch back and forth all they like
Doesn't really matter until they get to the Convention and THAT is the vote that counts. And they could even still switch then.

17. Especially considering his reasons for switching.
1. Hillary's really stupid gas tax idea.

2. Rev. Wright. I mean, that's the issue the Clinton supporters were praying would cause the SDs to go the other way.
