In the last 12 hours: 5 SD's have gone to Obama, including one of Hillary's strongest supporters
Edited on Thu May-01-08 06:05 PM by Wolsh
Is there any clearer indication that the SD's don't give two shits and a bucket of piss about Rev. Wright, as it relates to Obama? Could it be any clearer that Obama has this thing wrapped up?

5. Pretty much.
They must be looking at Indiana. They know the press will call it afterward.

It's just going to be yet another primary in which Clinton will show that she simply can't win.

3. Who gives a shit what the media thinks? They havn't been on our side in years....what matters is wha
the SDs think.

No matter how much they think they can, the MSM can't change facts and math.

9. Rachel Maddow talked about it being all "wrapped up" and going as far as to
include that any further discussion by the media would be "suspect". That was on Tuesday on MSNBC's Race for the White House. She hasn't been back since and MSNBC has run with the Wright stuff all day so far. I have little doubt that the media is making a last big run at hitting Obama on this issue to do as much harm as possible going into Tuesday's primaries. While many of us do take what the media says with a grain of salt, self included, the greater portion of the electorate hangs on their every word.

19. You're wrong - corpmedia HAS KNOWN it since shortly after Super Tuesday but they believe people are
stupid and they will continue to support Clinton as long as she wants to continue to help McCain in November.

Clonton campaign and corpmedia have no RESPECT for her voters intellect - they believe they can continue to be fooled as long as she feels like it.

23. Ratings and fascist candidates
Short term, they can make more money if they can manufacture a story and sell it as compelling. If both the Dems and GOP have a "presumptive nominee", that makes the air waves really boring. They might even have to go back to reporting the fact that we are still in the middle of 2 wars.

And longer term, they will do anything they can to damage candidates that don't support the fascist way. Clearly Obama is odd man out on that score.

4. CNN today: We have further evidence that the Dems are in a dead heat.
If 5 SDs really went to Obama today, then lol what BS.

But do you have a link(s)?

28. Im not seeing it.
according to http://demconwatch.blogspot.com/2008/01/superdelegate-list.html, Hillary picked up 5 and lost one today(net +4, all addons), whereas Obama picked up 2.

www.BarackObama.com has his gain of Andrew, but I dont see any 5 in 12 hours listed? where on their site did you find it?

7. The remaining undeclared superdelegates will go with the winner.
Andrew is showing with this that he knows that winner will be Obama.

Yes, this is just the beginning. Not of the end, because the end of the end was a long time ago. But the beginning of the recognition of reality.

Edited on Thu May-01-08 06:25 PM by rocknation
I figured that this "migration" would begin after next Tuesday, especially if Obama hit his "magic number" of 40% in NC. But I guess they changed their minds--would have looked too obvious, anyway.

But more to the point, here is Hillary's real problem: She's losing her last source of leverage. Being unable to close the gap in pledged delegates, she's also seen her superdelegate lead drop by some 70%. As far as making an "appeal" to the superdelgates, she's going to have to explain why she was unable to close the pledged delegate lead while Obama ws able to decrease her superdelegate lead.

16. It's not only that.. the DNC is cash poor and raising nothing right now compared to the RNC. They
know this simply can't continue for the sake of one woman's ego. Enough damage has been done and we will be struggling to catch up on fund-raising to fight the Republicans in November.

17. C'mon, they hold these SD's in reserve for when Obama is tanking
to try and mitigate the perception of loss. The fact that Hillary just keeps gaining traction and hasn't once flinched, ought to give the Obamas pause. Hillary obviously knows she can win - undeclared doesn't necessarily mean undecided.

20. All this proves is that the Obama campaign announced five SD's
that were already decided in an effort at damage control - it says nothing about any growing doubts from the remaining SD's as to Obama's fast slipping numbers.

Why aren't any of them defecting to Hillary then? It's not like she has 5 SDs to announce, for that matter.

24. it is a little misleading because most of them are add on delegates
who have just been added and who are already committed as opposed to SDs who have been waiting to choose.

Same goes with the 4 SDs from New York that were announced for Clinton today they were all add ons.

BTW there will be 4 more add on delegates chosen from the following states carried big by Obama this weekend

would expect them to all go Obama MD 2 SC 1 LA 1

Over the last week though there have been a large number of regular SDs who are going for Obama

Also another switch SD from Clinton to Obama is big especially since not a single SD has gone from Obama to Clinton
