JoeScar changing his tune, says that Wright issue is "dead to democrats" in the GE
and that Obama has put it to rest. Mentioned that in six months no one is going to remember it, and that six months ago, Rudy was the presumptive republican nominee. He also said that SDs were "put at ease" when Obama spoke out again.

1. It's already dead to Democrats
Only the Hillbots want to keep dwelling on it.

6. Obama's people are idiots.
If they had a lick of sense, this would have been branded a non-issue from the get-go.

9. They are far from idiots. In fact it was a brilliant piece of strategy
They know they have the nomination locked up, so they played this up, let people vent, and now it can't be used as an october surprise.

Once less thing to worry about during the safe lull we have between now and June.

In the same show he also slipped back into the mantra "This is a serious issue that has damaged Obama.....blah, blah, blah."

7. Let the 10 or so Hillary "democrats" around here run around doing that
It'll make it harder for them to play the victim role that they so relish.

8. I think a lot of Democrats see it as a reason to vote for Obama
Because we are sick of the media focusing on such idiotic topics. Attacking Obama on Wright and questioning his patriotism is pure McCarthyism.

12. Like another posted above mentioned, Joe is
notoriously bipolar, and I don't trust him one bit. In fact, I am more comfortable without his support, haha.

Loved that time when an activist/writer (does anyone remember who it was?) said on Morning Joe to Mika "You should do more reporting on McCain and be scrutinizing him like you do the Democrats." Mika said "Hey! I call the McCain campaign every week to see if there is anything going on!" And the writer said "Do better than that. Call them every day. It's your job, as a journalist."

Joe is going back to "Obama's tales of reaching across the aisle are pure fable", and citing that National Journal "most liberal Senator" rating, while touting Hillary's bipartisanship. I remember in January, he said "Tucker and I were talking about this. Republicans like Obama because he does not demonize them, like Hillary Clinton did." Jeeze.

I ain't no mind reader.

But I do know he is a Republican which is good enough for me to discount just about everything he says.

16. On five different programs today including Tweety, there
were people who said IT WILL HURT HIM IN THE GENERAL ELECTION.

These were mostly Democratic Pundits.

You better believe the GOP 527s will use it. McCain will not.

Think about it. STATE PARTY Gopers are using it in 4 states
to try to defeat our representatives because they endorsed Obama.

Listen, we know the GOP will try to trot this tired stuff out again, because thats what they do. Obama has effectively absorbed all the damage it will do. He can only go back up from here.

24. I heard that earlier, hope he's right, but I don't trust that guy.
He also agreed today with Barnicle that Obama can't relate the the average voter, the same problem that Kerry had. That's so full of shit it aint funny. The only one of the three I would feel comfortable talking to who I thought would understand me is Obama. Why else is he getting donations from so many average voters?

28. just what is the "average" voter. I'm sick of this empty rhetoric. it's divisive and disgusting.
so do McCain relate to the "average" voter. I'm not average and I don't classify anyone else as being "average". Or...does average mean something else?

It's good this all happened NOW. Nothing fresh left on the table for McCain to use later.
