Is anyone else getting a big Kick out of Obama
continuing to use the "my cousin, Dick Cheney" line in his speeches? it cracks me up every time he says it. I heard him say it in PA and he used it in tonight's speech. and said something about not going hunting with him....

cracks me up, but I guess I'm easily entertained....

2. I get a kick out of it too....
but being that I sometimes suffer from a sadistic sense of humor, I love it because I picture the Dark Lord Dick quacking impotently at the TV screen (and don't point out that he probably doesn't watch Obama on TV, let a woman have some joy in her life!) :hi:

3. It's funny, but I'm not sure how many people know about it.
Is it really that common of knowledge at this point?

4. I think it's cute - I don't get tired of it
I'm sure there are at least a few people at each of his appearances who didn't know that already. I remember one guy at a Montana(?) stump speech behind Obama who turned to the guy next to him and said something. I wonder if he asked him what Obama meant?

:D

5. he has excellent timing - he could have been a stand up comic
it really isn't something you can learn either he just has it.

Its hard to make people laugh at a joke that they already know the punchline for.

14. I think that's a good part of his popularity
The guy knows how to work a room.

The contrast to McCain is beauty and beast, even better fun vs. sour.
He is a dream candidate.

16. contrast that to Clinton
who has had a number of opportunities for genuine humor, but always winds up muddling it. For example, the whole April fools day bowling challenge to Obama was some really funny material. But with her bland delivery it was tough for her to pull off.
