So it kinda sounded like they both offered Edwards a cabinet position tonight, didn't it?
I'm relistening to it on C-Span and that's what it sounds like to me.

2. She thanked Edwards as a N.C. champion for the poor
then a couple of sentences later said something about an appointment for someone to fight poverty.

He thanked Edwards, and said he was looking forward to working with him in the next administration.

So, not exactly job offers, but a least a little innuendo (or maybe just pandering to N.C.!)
