"My father-in-law is a Fox News prime demographic, and I can’t disown him, so I have to be a 75 year old conservative white man.

I have cousins who live just outside of Paris and are among the nicest people I know, and I can’t disown them, so I must be French…and nice…that’s possible, isn’t it"

We all have friends and family that we don't agree with, since when does knowing someone make you accepting of everything that person believes?

2. The funny part is, as much FREAKING OUT as everyone is/was doing on DU, I think
most regular folks who aren't political junkies pretty much roll their eyes and change the channel when the name Wright comes up.

4. Probably true
but it prevents a discussion of the economy, Iraq, healthcare, etc all areas where either Dem outshines McCain and keeps the focus negative (though silly) on one of the Dems.
All the regular folk will remember is "Wasn't there some bad shit with Obama's pastor. I didn't hear anything bad about McCain."
