What kind of campaign should the 527's run against McBush?
Edited on Sat May-03-08 07:33 PM by Hawaii Hiker
What are some topics you want to see the 527's, DNC, run against John Mcbush?....I presume there will be ads covering a whole host of things ie; make him out to be the third Bush term, make sure ads are run showing Roe V. Wade is in danger of being overturned if he's elected, there will be ads on his infamous temper, definitely the 100 years comment will be used, etc..
Any other topics you want to see the 527's pound out to voters?

More controversial question is; do you think McCain will be swift-boated?...I really don't know whether I'd be for this or not, but don't forget what happened to Kerry & Cleland in 2004....Republicans showed zero empathy for Democrats who served this country honorably....

Also, I hope an ad is made that covers this ultra mean-spirited joke McCain made about Chelsea Clinton http://www.salon.com/news/1998/06/25newsb.html
Can you imagine the backlash there'd be if Barack Obama made a joke like this about McCain's daughter!!....

The party of Atwater (well, legacy of Atwater since he's dead), Rove, & Swift Boaters would throw their mom in front of a NYC cab to secure electoral votes, & you know damn well Republicans are going to throw every-fucking-thing under the sun at either Clinton or Obama, so Democrats have to be ready to hit back this time....

2. Oh that's right, from the comments McBush made in Missouri
which KO covered yesterday (probably wasn't even mentioned on CNN or FAUX) about not having to fight for oil - anymore...

3. McCain recieving free healthcare all his life not wanting the same for Americans
From the moment he was born he has been covered free of charge, yet he doesnt seem to think the rest of us should have the same medical coverage.

7. well
His statement that "He" like most Americans see their doctor frequently.

I wish I could say the enconomy, but most people don't get the details that well.

His flipfloppery. I actually had more of appreciation for him when he first ran against bush... then he tailspinned on his morals and beliefs.

9. The evolution of McCain "the maverick" into McCain2.0 "the Bush crony"...
That would be effective.

What I'm curious about is whether somebody will go after his less-than stellar academic/military record. Not sure that would work out, but I'm sure somebody will try it.

10. Other than his 100-year war stance....
He wants to raise the cap on H-1B visas, is for free trade (says it "helps" U.S. citizens)

I think those few issues considering our unemployment rate will turn people against him.

Let's not forget....Where was he when the people of NOLA were dying? The ass was eating birthday cake with the other ass.

11. They should add
his new greatest moment, War for Oil!, to the war ad that's playing now. I'd also like to see his "misspeak" moment from Iraq, with Joe L. whispering the correction in his ear.

And many of you won't like it but:

Every commercial would have audio of McCain's own voice, but the clips would make his voice sound as old and shaky as possible. All images of him would emphasize his age and raise questions about his health. I would also include footage of him losing his temper to raise questions about his mental stability.

And the commercial would always end with the Bush/McCain love fest hug, and text asking "Just like Bush or worse than Bush?"

And you bet I'd run the ad about what he called Chelsea too, and I'd make sure to squeeze in the story of his ex-wife somehow.

But that's just me.

14. I want to see an ad
that speaks to his record on children's issues (wasn't he ranked one of the worst senators by some organization that promotes children's issues?). Included in the ad would be a video tape of his joke about Chelsea Clinton with some tagline about the way McCain treats children.
