** OBAMA SHOCKS CLINTON IN GUAM **
The Clinton campaign suffered a memorable loss today as she was unable to seal the deal in a "safe" spot for her, the territory of Guam. Far from the shoo-in expected for Clinton (with most pollsters and pundits predicting a 3-1 minimum Clinton win, Barack Obama showed once again why and how superior field organization prevails. For the results, go to:

www.demconwatch.com

Go to the Guam section on the upper left.

43. here's another source, sourpuss
"For the remaining territory in this race is potentially highly favourable to her. The next outing is in Guam on May 3 and there are only four delegates at stake but, for what it is worth, she is expected to win the most votes there. It is, however, but the smallest of starters between the next main course, the quest for votes in Indiana and North Carolina three days later."

39. Actually
There are 8 pledged delegates that get 1/2 a vote each. Not sure how they split up, but if the give a majority to the winner of the majority of votes, Obama would have 5 delegates (with 2 1/2 votes) to Clinton's 3 delegates (with 1 1/2 votes), netting 1 delegate for Obama.

In even number delegate districts the winner is not guaranteeed a delegate win.

25. They are doing a recount. Election officials are searching for 4,000
missing ballots, and have to certify that 500 ballots marked "spoiled" and invalidated (not counted) in strong Obama districts were, in fact, spoiled.

Also, Obama was actually favored to win by 11 points in Guam. Not Clinton.

42. Give us a source for that 11 points crap
In the obama campaign they had put themselves down for 11%. Thats several months ago. And based on no polling data.

Given the number of voters in Guam, the difference between 0,1% or 11% is 250 voters switching sides. Using the numbers from 2004 it would be closer to 80.
And noone had any idea what the situation was. If they did, they did not share it.

So just because the spreadsheet said 11 is no indication that they "expected" 11%. That would be idiotic given the information available on Guam.
All you can gather from that was that they expected a split in delegates and popular vote win. They got the important part right and popular vote part somewhat right.

But something tells me they wouldn't have been surprised by a totally different result. Pretty sure that line was filled out based on severe guestimation.

44. When Clinton wins, Obama crowd cheers because it was 9.9% rather than 10% win.
When Obama "wins" by less than 1%, the Obama crowd cheers because a "win is a win."

I just shake my head in amazement. You guys have really lost it.

45. Pull out a calculator
and figure out the difference between tie and +10 on Guam. And prediction in that spreadsheet on that primary has been 95% speculation.

Pretty sure they are loosing little sleep over guessing 250 votes wrong.
