So, I was in Urban Outfitters today and I noticed that they have Obama merchandise... t-shirts and the like. It was at that moment that I became concerned because I remembered that Urban Outfitters is, above all else, a place with stuff that doesn't appeal to old people.

If Barack Obama is the nominee, then I hope he does everything he can to get older folks on his side because the youth vote is... just... plain... unreliable... demonstrably so... frustratingly so.

6. I got your point
However the fact that Urban Outfitters is selling Obama stuff your suddenly worried? Urban Outfitters is a business and they are selling his stuff because it sells there.

What do you want Blair and Van Huesen Obama gear?

7. The fact that UO is selling Obama merchandise has no bearing on...
...Barack Obama's appeal, but I do think that it tells us something about his appeal.

19. The store merchandise aside, as an Obama supporter I agree that we need to make an
incredible effort to organize once Obama is the recognized nominee.

New voters and newly registered voters are less reliable shows than people who have voted every election for 10 - 50 years. That can be over come with the large army of volunteers the Obama campaign has organized, and which the Dems will continue to organize though the summer and into the fall.

Once the transition from candidate to nominee takes place all Democrats will need to go to work to insure we get the newly registered and the first and second time voters to the polls in November. It will be crucial to winning the White House. It will also give us much greater majorities in congress.

Hard work? Yes, but more than worth it.

27. I wouldn't be too worried...
one of the things I like about Obama is that he will make being a Democrat cool (again)...
just like Reagan made it cool to be a Republican (I really never understood that appeal...)
but it worked for a very long time...
