Oregon: Obama 51% Clinton 39%
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/oregon/oregon_democratic_primary

The first Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of the Oregon Democratic Presidential Primary shows Barack Obama enjoying a twelve-point lead over Hillary Clinton. It’s Obama 51%, Clinton 39%.

Clinton has a statistically insignificant lead among senior citizens while Obama leads among younger voters. Obama does best among upper income voters while Clinton’s strongest support comes from those who earn less than $40,000 annually.

1. That is good news but he needs to get it higher and..
Kentucky a lower lead for Clinton.

I am not silly. I know that Clinton is likely going to win big in Kentucky and we will have to work hard so that Obama walks away with more delegates for the day.

So lots of work to do..

4. If Obama wins in IN and NC
Edited on Sun May-04-08 04:14 PM by LuckyTheDog
It might not be all that consequential. But we'll see.

I worry about Obama in Indiana because I have family there. And, while the folks I know in that state might not be representative of the entire Indiana population, they are mainly to-the-marrow racists.

3. Obama Up 12% - Great
If Obama wins here in Oregon by 12% it will be because he earned it with a terrific ground game. I've had an Obama yard sign for 3 months now. Now they are everywhere in the Eugene area. I've seen two Hillary yard signs. About the same with bumper stickers; at least a 50 to 1 advantage. I'm sure that Clinton has supporters and has the endorsement of a very good governor, but I expect Portland and Eugene to overwhelm any Clinton strength elsewhere.

Of course a victory by Obama in Oregon may not be important because of the large AA population - no scratch that; it's a caucus state - nope scratch that too; ah - gee maybe it will be an important win - YES WE CAN!

8. NC will be the nail in the coffin
It's the largest state left and if Hillary doesn't win it, she's toast.
