Whatcha Got Against the Pant Suits?

It's kind of a sad fact that fashion designers don't create much in the way of "power wardrobes" for women. I suppose she could find some nice Chanel, but that opens her to criticism she's more interested in couture than helping American people.

Or perhaps she could play it like Condi and go for the Prussian military look. I'm sure that'd go over really well and would silence the critics, don't you think?

I kind of wonder if people aren't trying to start a meme for the MSM, a la Al Gore's "earth tones," bullshit.

She should throw away that orange thing she wore last week. The pants were not tailored well for her figure.

Oh yeah, that pink top she had on a few days ago was great - the one she wore on Fox.

Any woman with a "pear" shape has to make sure the pants are tailored correctly in order to balance the figure, especially if the color is bright or light. Wearing bright on top and dark on the bottom is a good idea for people who are just too busy to have all the little adjustments made.

To be fair, every candidate gets caught in unflattering clothes. Remember Bill and his running shorts?

She knows she needs to cover the hips and legs and pants suits are the easiest way to do that. She looks great from the waist up--notice how her jackets always emphasize that waist and then flare out over the hips. But she could cover the lower-body heaviness much more attractively with long skirts and/or boots. (Yeah, I know summer is coming.) And she'd look a lot more feminine. (In my opinion, women--weak or strong--should look feminine. But I guess I'll be called a sexist now.)

and this goes waaay before Hillary was a candidate. It has nothing to do with her. I like skirt suits more. Just my personal bias I guess. Hillary needs a visit from Stacey and Clinton, they could fix her up well. That being said, I think that Hillary is a good looking woman, not that that has anything to do with her qualifications for POTUS.

If you look at most of her pantsuits you can identify immediately where she wears them and for what audience. The wellcut designer outfits look good on her, are expensive fabric and are custom tailored for her- those are worn with nice jewelry to urban audiences, tv appearances and fundraisers.

The off-the-rack from Dress Barn suits are cheaper fabric, fit poorly with no style and are not well cut or tailored. These are worn to rural blue collar areas when she is in her "I'm one of you so now lets have a beer before I head out to my night job on the factory line" mode. That light blue number she has been wearing lately is one of these, worn for the Indiana/NC small town crowds.

At least she seems to have stopped wearing the gray and black paisley mandarin jacket made from somebody's drapes. :rofl:
