FUNNY how HUGE blocs of black votes/voters don't COUNT, but black pastors DO...
... MSHRC et al keeps putting out propaganda that "Obama can't get the white vote".

NEVERMIND that Hillary is having issues getting the black vote - most of them go to Obama. FUNNY how that's not mentioned isn't it? Hoo they don't COUNT! We should only worry about the WHITE ones.

The lamestream media is just too busy talking about the BLACK pastor, whilst ignoring the white ones who have said hella worse things than Wright ever did - and at the WORST TIMES. THEY get a free pass though. Hagee, McSame's pastor - rarely a mention - but HE has said Godawful things - yet McSame has not been forced to denounce him.

So to SUM this up, LEMME GET THIS STRAIGHT:

HUGE blocs of black voters and votes DON'T COUNT in this election. We should ONLY BE WORRIED about the WHITE ones.

and;

BLACK pastors and what they say or do is to be put under UTMOST and ENDLESS scrutiny - but WHITE pastors who've done and said worse, get a free pass and nary a mention - anything THEY do or say is irrelevant.

GO AHEAD. Try to tell me this isn't RACIST as all get-out.

1. When they're scary, white folks are up in arms. When they quietly vote Dem, they're...
... just doing what good lil negroes are supposed to, to white folks.

2. Yep. Dems want the AA vote every 4 years, but when it's politically expedient to discount them...
...they discount them. And go on a rampage about something one of their skeery angry pastors said - nevermind what Godawful and even MORE scary crap the Whitey pastors have been spouting for years and at the absolute worst times for our nation (9/11, Katrina) - OR what hateful spew one of them is spraying around right now. Oh -- but he's the pastor of the WHITE REPUBLICAN candidate - so - um, well, that's OK.

Huh. Right.

3. A huge block of black votes don't count to Obama in Florida.
Hundreds of thousands voted for him on January 29th - Obama won every district with an African American population at 50% or larger. Obama does not care about these voices. And his supporters have said they don't care are Florida in the General Election either.

Careful with that loaded gun you're aiming.

4. Why did Hillary sign the original document to disenfranchise voters?
She's holier than thou now that she needs those voters, but it didn't bother her when she signed the agreement. In fact, now she wants to disenfranchise all of Obama's voters by having the superdelegates ignore the elected delegates. You can't have it both ways.

6. He cares about votes, he just doesn't want to be a lying cheater to get them.
Most people in Florida care about and understand rules. Hillary Clinton supporters in Florida don't care about rules or the DNC, they care about Hillary.

I hope you get what you wish for, and for the rest of your natural life you will have to deal with 2 year long presidential campaigns because national parties won't enforce their own rules.

7. Will you please stop changing the subject, and, while we're on the subject,
By the way, this whole thing about Fla and Mi being seated has been settled, and if you read what's available or stopped being disingenuous for a minute you'd know that. The Hill propaganda about Obama stopping this from going forward is a specious, bogus straw man.....

11. Obama and hillary agreed to the FL and MI delegates not being seated.
If hillary had not run such an abysmal campaign, she would not be fighting now to change the rules. It is nice you are so concerned by the "huge block" of black voters whose votes are not being counted. I bet many of them are very happy their candidate is close to becoming their nominee.

18. If they agreed they wouldn't be seated then they shouldn't. WHY DOES HILLARY want to change ...
Edited on Sun May-04-08 07:29 PM by Triana
...the rules now?

Because she's LOSING.

And you STILL haven't explained WHY those few percentage of white working-class voters are considered by Hillary and the media pundits to be MORE important than the huge percentage of black votes Obama gets.

NOR have you explained WHY Obama's pastor and his utterings are SO much more important than the horrid stuff spouted by Hagee, McCain's pastor AND all the horrid stuff spouted by other WHITE pastors and evangelists in this country.

All you did was offer a limp distraction - because you CAN'T explain it except to admit that it's RACISM.

9. The corporate media has been race baiting like crazy the last week
Edited on Sun May-04-08 05:21 PM by Cali_Democrat
Chris Matthews said that Wright "ghettoizes Obama and puts Obama back in the 'hood."

Buchanan was basically screaming for America to wake up because a....*gasp*.....black man might be president.

They aren't even hiding it anymore. They want it all to be about race now.

I am ashamed of this country.

Chris Matthews thread from the other nite

He has a record. He has plenty of fellow travelers on that network. They are all on the same script.

Write to MSNBC and raise some Hell.

13. Before and After. Compare and Contrast.
Before the Coup
----------------
God Bless America
Land that I love
Stand beside her
And guide her
Through the night
With a light from above
From the mountains
To the prairies
To the oceans
White with foam
God Bless America
My home sweet home
God Bless America
My home sweet home.

After the Coup
---------------
God Damn America
Land of Lucifer
Steal elections
Wrong directions
As the leaves drop
You eavesdrop on her
Mining mountains
Poisoning prairies
Polluting oceans
With mercury
God Damn America
Home of the unfree.
God Damn America
Home of slavery.

16. It's a sad day in America when so many black votes don't seem to count...
Edited on Sun May-04-08 07:06 PM by Triana
...in an election, yet ONE black pastor DOES. Why do we count the black pastor - but not the black votes? And why do we count the white votes, but not the white pastor(s)?

Something is VERY WRONG here.

And with an African American man running for President, the racism that still exists in this country has been brought front-and-center, staring us right IN THE FACE. Frank Rich wrote about the All-White Elephant in the room. Indeed.

For the punditry to now acknowledge it, and Hillary and the rest to acknowledge this "difference", they'd have to admit what's WRONG. That THEY are wrong, and what's wrong with this whole picture. THAT is what ought to be playing on M$HRC, CNN, Faux, et al 24 x 7 instead. NOT gonna happen, of course. Because then we (they) would have to ADMIT openly that it's RACIST.

Who has the integrity to stand up and confront this, besides op-ed columnists?

It's a festering boil on the face of the much-touted morality of this nation. Not that there's much left to it after the Destruction of George W. bu$h but why add insult to injury like this? In an election year no less, when we have THE chance - THE OPPORTUNITY show the world that is NOT what we are as a country, to undo some of this destruction -- we don't.

Instead, we just CONFIRM all that George W. bu$h has said about us for the past eight years with his various ill-conceived policies and racist, sexist, cowboy despotism -- and we ADD to it. We PILE on -- not only Barack Obama -- but on OURSELVES. Heaping scorn and shame on him and simultaneously on ourselves from the rest of the world. As if we needed more of that.

WHY do we PROJECT the divisiveness and consequences of OUR OWN RACISM in this election onto the black candidate?

We'll just blame Barack Obama for it all. That's convenient, isn't it?

Hillary runs a divisive campaign, it's his fault.

A few white votes count in this election are stated to count MUCH more than scads of black ones - it's Obama's fault - HIS shortcoming.

We drone on and on ad infinitum about what HIS pastor said whilst simultaneously IGNORING what McCain's (the WHITE REPUBLICAN candidate) has said, and what ALL THE REST - the Falwells and the Robertsons and the Buchanans and the MOONS have said. And yep - that's all OBAMA's fault - HIS shortcoming.

HE doesn't OWN our racism and our filthy morality and our double-standards. WE do. HE doesn't own the strikingly obvious double-standards that are applied to voters and pastors in this election. WE do. Or, at least the opposition campaigns and the media pundits who are assisting them do.

I'll look forward to the day when we FINALLY do the national laundry and hang it out in the bright daylight to dry - and when we can stop adding to the tears and stains and defacate in the fabric of our own morality. When we start preserving it, cleaning it up and when we air it out to remove the stench from years of punditry, pretense, divisiveness, national blind narcissism, racism, and not-so-hidden agendas. When we make it whole again and something to be proud of -- instead of something we hang ourselves with - like the proverbial noose in our own lynching.

22. Amen Sista!!!
The most loyal bloc is being kicked to the curb while a segment that hasn't voted democrat in over 20 years is being courted, wined and dined.

The pundits and msm need to figure out how hillary would get the black vote when the rednecks she is courting goes to mccain in the general. But then again it will be a mute point, because she won't be in the general election.

YES WE CAN!!!!!!!

30. Who said black voters don't count, except for Obama regarding FL and MI blacks?
Edited on Mon May-05-08 02:20 AM by jackson_dem
He won blacks 73-25-1-1 (yes, Clinton, who is "hated" by blacks according to the netroots got 25x more black support than the other major white candidate in the race. She got 16% in IA* to Edwards' 8%. In SC she got 10x more, 19% to Edwards' 2%. Does this mean Edwards could not win the black vote in the GE? Clinton is doing as well with the black vote as a white candidate could against someone trying to be the first black president, just as McSame struggled, in fact even far more than Hillary, with Mormons against a candidate trying to become the first Mormon president and Mondale/Hart struggled against Jackson in 84' and Dukakis against Jackson in 88' among black voters.) in Florida yet wants to disenfranchise them.

*This was long before Obama swiftboated the Clintons on race.
