An Obama VICE Presidency !! JUST Picture it !!!
Edited on Sun May-04-08 06:04 PM by Laura PackYourBags
Hypothesizing - if HRC pulls a fast one and gets the nomination and
the presidency, what would Obama's role be like . :)

I can picture it now - and I'm not thinking it's Cheney-esque !

Can anyone imagine him actually being allowed to do anything? Not me.

He'll be relegated back to the ole state funeral attendee role.

I picture him lurking outside important meetings - wondering what the hell they're talking about,
not allowed in.

9. Hillary suggesting after Ohio that Obama could be VP
First Bill called it an "unstoppable force."

Then Hillary was asked who should be at the top of the ticket and she said..."I know the people of Ohio want at the top."

10. It's the fantasyland some are trapped in
We see it surface when Hillary so graciously offers the VP position to the man she's losing to.

Or we see it when those too frightened of an AA man as president suggest Edwards or Gore should swoop in to be the white male saviors of the presidency and "let" Obama be the veep.

More than a little irritating...

42. If she "pulls a fast one" I will not vote this election
and I will leave the democratic party. If she wins fairly, that's one thing. If she goes for the "nuclear option" then I have no more use for a party that would put up with this. I won't vote for McCain, obviously. I will vote 3rd party. This is no threat. This is the last straw for me.

the democrats haven't exactly been the most representative party over the last two years anyway, have they? this would truly be the irony. The DLC kills the democratic party just as the Republican party is at its weakest in years.

be better than mccain, another four years of bush rule will cripple the world. When you guys sneeze, people in the third world have the shits (cannot be bothered to be political correct right now, am mad). If Obama was currently in Hillary's position, all of America would have been calling for him to step down, the hypocrisy knows no bounds. I just wish Richardson or Edwards had hung in, but the MSM told you all that it is Hillary's turn! Presidency is not a turn, one has to show capability and she is hanging on her husband's coattails! end of rant

55. you're wrong about me
I have now lived through DLC bullshit in 2000, 2004 and 2006. There comes a moment when you say "enough." This is that moment for me. If the DLC pulls this "legalistic coup" I will support a third party candedate or I will not vote for a presidential candidate.

And it won't be just me. Such an action will split the democratic party. There is no doubt in my mind about this one. (see above if you want to know why this would be the last straw.) I have called for unity. That is not the same as submission to DLC demands. They will be the ones who will cripple the world because Hillary is detested by more than 50% of the U.S. population... and many of those are liberals.

The U.S. economy is already in the shitter. The rest of the world should recognize that those nations with the most natural oil reserves are the ones that will be giving them the shits for years to come.

51. She's already said WJC won't be in the WEST WING. I think, IF that happened,
that BHO would have a full role. He might be tasked with wide swathes of the domestic agenda, with gradual forays into international issues as he gained experience.

I suspect she'd ALWAYS "run some shit by Bill" after work, but he wouldn't be "in the room" all the time. She'll use him like he used her--as a sounding board, as a second-guesser, as a new set of eyes.

If they all were able to get along, they'd do business as a troika every so often, just as HRC, WJC, and AAGJr. did on the odd occasion.
