Sen. Feingold reveals he voted for Obama in WI primary - holding off on endorsement for now

http://www.channel3000.com/news/16157836/detail.html

DE PERE, Wis. -- Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold still isn't saying which Democratic presidential candidate he prefers.

At a listening session in De Pere on Saturday, Feingold said he'll be happy either way, but he's just anxious for the Democratic race to be resolved.

Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton have dueled in a fiercely contested battle for the nomination. Feingold said he voted for Obama in Wisconsin's February primary but he hasn't committed to backing the Illinois senator at the convention.

Audience member Tom German disagreed with Feingold's opposition to the Bush administration's policies in Iraq. He quoted Vince Lombardi saying, 'The best defense is a good offense.'

Feingold replied that Lombardi always knew something about the team he was playing.

1. I know that endorsements are so over-rated, but...
being that Russ is one of the most honest, hard-working, right on Iraq and FISA senators we have (and a tiny bit to do with him being from my home state) his endorsement would have an impact on the way I am planning to vote.....
unless of course he endorses Hillary

3. Yes, he did reveal that many weeks ago.
From my hometown paper, the La Crosse Tribune on March 19th: http://www.lacrossetribune.com/articles/2008/03/19/news/01lead.txt

"Feingold said he voted for Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., in the Wisconsin presidential primary, and is “highly inclined” to cast his superdelegate vote for Obama at the Democratic National Convention because Obama won Wisconsin."
