1. actually, it's not.
though I agree that a joint ticket gives both a leg up, I still think either is electable without the other on the ticket. There are so many variables that we can't even guess at that will be factors in November, that making predictions such as yours, is a worthless endeavor.

6. can't vote for Hillary the Warmonger
for all her talk about experience, she showed that she can't learn from her own limited elected experience when she voted for the Kyl-Lieberman amendment after her Iraq War vote.

3. There is no guarantee they'd win, but could they ever administer?
Edited on Mon May-05-08 06:48 AM by HereSince1628
I just can't imagine an Obama presidency with a Clinton co-vice presidency working out.

We shake our heads at the power grabs of Cheney. After what we've seen in the primary season it's fairly easy for me to imagine Hillary and Bill fighting for significance.

The nation would likely end up with huge competition for power inside the administration. What a mess, we'd never get the Constitutional destruction of Cheney repaired.

7. It wouldn't work out
Obama is trying to transcend to a new type of politics where people try to get along within and outside of their party to solve America's problems. Hillary wants to pick fights within her own party, just imagine when she is fighting with people who differ on the issues even more.

5. Hillary will not wait

8 more years to be president. If she has to settle for VP or less, She and Bill and their network of dirty tricksters will do everything they can to undermine Obama in his first term and leave the door open for her. They know that if they support an Obama presidency and help him be effective, he'll probably win a second term, and her ambition will be dead.

And from Obama's standpoint, having a VP who is always trying to upstage you would be a nightmare. I sure as heck wouldn't want to be the only guy standing between her and the presidency, especially when she and Bill have so many friends on the SS.

8. Two senators on the same ticket
will not be good. The GOP will point to the lack of executive experience on their ticket.

10. that's nonsense.
Obama will easily beat McCain and he doesn't need hillary riding on his coattails to do it. Hillary would be detrimental to his campaign in the GE.

11. Looks like Obama would lose most supporters if he made that
decision. Makes me wonder about confidence in him.
