Clinton / Clark 2008
That's the winning combination.

As much as I respect John McCain's military service, we need to kick his ass to the curb.

This is the team that will do it.

1. Replace Clinton
Edited on Mon May-05-08 08:48 AM by Jake3463
With Obama...and we can agree. Good choice..Clinton loyalist help heal wounds.

Sorry your going to need to heal the party with your VP pick so if you somehow win better pick someone from the Obama camp.

4. There is nothing to heal within this party.
Edited on Mon May-05-08 08:50 AM by DemVet
This prolonged primary process has been good.

Look at all the new voters we've registered.

Those on either side, Obama supporters or Hillary supporters, who say they won't vote for the other candidate were never loyal Democrats in the first place.

edit...typo

13. Keep telling yourself that
Edited on Mon May-05-08 08:58 AM by Jake3463
Your side wins overtunring the pledge delegate winner and they don't make a massive overture to reconcile with the other side starting with the VP pick prepare to make Mondale look like a winner.

36. New Voters for Obama are Dems and Indies - New Voters for HRC are rethuglicans...the difference?
Obamas new voters will vote for him in the fall, HRC's "new" voters will vote for their regular party in the fall...the Republicans.

42. The wounds that
Obama has made will fade over time. It will be harder because of his racist game playing and the nature of youth but we all know the GOP is not in our best interest.

We can't all be squished into Obama's little tent. The bubble will run out of oxygen. And his followers have let of the stink bombs of division and derision.

7. McCain, cast as a "maverick" by the media, even after his pro-Bush/pro-
Surge record of the last 7-8 years, still would lure many independents if Democrats nominate Hillary Clinton.

We can't win those independents in significant numbers with Hillary Clinton and many will be likely to drift to McCain.

With Obama we do draw those independents and we do beat McCain.

As I would rather live in a Democratic president's American instead of John McCain's America, I want the Democrat who can beat John McCain, and that only comes with support from independents.

25. I wouldn't waste my money
printing up too many Clinton/Clark 2008 signs. Their only use will be as a curiosity of Antiques Road Show 50 years from now - and if they're too common, whoever finds them in your attic won't get much for them. And remember, tear stains will reduce their value.

would be an interesting VP choice for Obama, but while I see him on the short list, I don't see him making the very short list)

The only way Hillary is going to win now is through slander, lies, scandal, and distraction. I would like to believe that Wesley Clark wouldn't want to be a part of something that hideous.
