The stupidity of this gas tax holiday
Edited on Mon May-05-08 10:06 AM by Botany
The stupidity of this gas tax holiday is so big that it is not funny. That money is used to fix and
maintain our roads & bridges. Thousands of people have good paying jobs and benefits because
of that program, it helps keeps us safe when we are driving, well maintained roads use less gas than poorly maintained roads, bridges are not supposed to be used till they fail, and one other thing too
..... back here in snow country we get these things called POTHOLES every winter and if a road is
not kept up we get more and bigger POTHOLES they shred tires and break things like tie rods, axles, and oil pans. To replace one shredded tire will cost more than the money most people would save in this stupid little stunt.

BTW When a pothole gets one of my truck tires it is $250.00

2. Dear nation of idiots:
It's not the TAX, it's the PROFITS!
It's like a guy paying $30 for a beer, then complaining about a $2 tax. OK, Skeezix, here's you tax-free beer. That'll be $28.
