What Hillary should remember if she "goes nuclear"..... MAD

Mutual assured destruction (MAD; sometimes written as mutually assured destruction) is a doctrine of military strategy in which a full-scale use of nuclear weapons by two opposing sides would effectively result in the destruction of both the attacker and the defender.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutual_assured_destruction

Hillary, if you "go nuclear" you can be assured that you will be destroyed and McCain will win. You will disenfranchise millions of voters, activists, and donors. These people are young on average and may never ever vote for a Dem again. Is it really worth destroying everything for you to have your due?

6. I've been thinking a lot about why her tone and approach has become so
completely loathsome and reprehensible.

As a counselor with decades of experience, I truly feel she is motivated to avenge BC's very public humiliations and betrayal of her which she never processed.

It perhaps should be redefined as MAO (mutually assured obliteration.)

Yikes.

3. I predict that she will do this IF one of two situations seems likely

1. She can secure the nomination and believes (falsely) that Obama supporters will forgive and forget by November ( or believes that they have no place else to go and will vote for her anyway).

or

2. She believes that Obama would win both the nomination and the general election, and this is the only way to prevent that... and that in 2012 she will be able to run again.

4. I think it's all bluster anyway....
Her campaign needs the Rules Committee members who support her to take a big personal/political risk and also must convince them that it is worth it. Unless Obama gets annhialted in Indy and NC, I just don't see it happening. I would also like to continue to labor under the assumption (probably false) that Hillary believes that her country and her party come before her own personal aspirations. That being said, is there anyway to contact members of the committee to express our fears/displeasure/outrage etc.?

5. Absolutely.... Hillary and the DLC are finished either way.
But the country's going to be a hell of a lot better off if they accept defeat gracefully. I don't want to imagine what this world is going to look like after 4 years of Grandpa McLoon. :scared:

7. She isn't going to steal it....
she still may win it? It's bluster. These senior Party members/SDs and such, unlike her, are worried about the Party of the future and not cowering to temper tantrums.

If it could be stolen by hook and crook under the radar she might have had a chance. She is too polarizing and now too unpopular to pull even that off. People are paying too much attention.

I hate it. I admired the Clintons in the 90's. I defended them to the hilt. They've embarrassed me.

in the highly unlikely event she gets the nom, I'd vote for her. If she pulls this horseshit, fuck her. No vote for her.

9. She has adopted the Bush*/Rove 2000 election MO -
Win at all costs. She doesn't really care who gets mad, who gets upset, who is disenfranchised - as long as she gets what she wants.

10. I read through the nuclear scenario at HuffPo
Most of it was extremely wishful thinking. The alleged prerequisites for going nuclear are never going to happen: the addition of one long-shot scenario to another and another is just laughable.

Plus, in keeping with the metaphor, Hillary seems to think she can escape the fallout. She can't. It would take her down, too.

So no presidency and no senate seat either. Think of your own career, Hillary.

17. Clinton's don't think past today. You can't get to the GE until you win the nomination
Once that is done (by any means possible), then they will worry about tomorrow.

It has been their modus operandi since the 1980s.

Google and the You Tubes were at our fingertips to call them out on their shit before the ink hits the papers and the news cycle turns over like happened back then. Back when they could lie their asses off and it was a retraction on page B-7 a week after the fact as the news was on to the latest tall tale (and believing every word).

Ya gotta love the interwebs.

23. Yeah, I thought of that.
They can be trying to keep it hush hush right now to open it up at the last second where everyone is caught off guard yelling WTF is going on and what is this nuclear option? To later find out when it's too late. But not this time.
