Harold Ford seems to think (IMO) that Hillary will win both NC and IN...
Edited on Mon May-05-08 05:30 PM by jenmito
I saw him on Morning Joe and then just again on Hardball. He keeps saying that Hillary's "gas tax vacation" is a good idea, he agrees with it, saying voters WANT a short-term "fix" re: gas prices (regardless of what the economists say), and ends his statements by saying he thinks one of them (Hillary or Obama) will win BOTH states. He doesn't say which one, but by his comments, he clearly means Hillary. :eyes:

9. Harold is a DLC pawn, has been shilling for Hill for months. He began the runup to this by saying
a few weeks ago that "the winner of NC will be the nominee". I'm going to hold his smarmy mouth to that when Obama wins NC and hope he will STFU.

And Jen.. TURN OFF MSNBC !! :nuke:

20. I know. He's been saying that for weeks. He said it again today...
I'm really starting to fear she may pull off a 1-point victory in NC. They were showing a poll where Hillary is now getting 18% of the Black vote in NC along with the Limbaughians and Bill Clinton making about 9 appearances there today alone. Darn it...I can't turn off MSNBC! I can't look away! HELP!

14. I saw the same thing this morning (didn't see the afternoon show).
I was thinking he was equivocating for Clinton's benefit, but that he thought it would be Obama to win both.

In hindsight, if he thought that, he probably would not have mentioned it at all, given his support for Clinton.

UPDATE: I turned on CNN tonight since I read here today it was declared a "WRIGHT FREE ZONE".. and
by George, there was Wolfman pelting his panel with questions about Wright and a HUGE banner that ran underneath the segment the entire time saying:

HOW MUCH HAS WRIGHT HURT OBAMA?? (even tho no one really talked about Wright and focused on the fact that HRC is LOSING and always has been LOSING)

Cafferty let him have it.. AGAIN..told him they were INVENTING something that didn't exist, laid out the impossibility of Hillary "winning", and Wolf sputters and says: "Well, its not over till its over! Gloria.. what do YOU think?"

Gloria ran the numbers, which looked like also like an impossibility. Wolfie and his corporate masters just will not let it go.

31. Here's the kicker
As head of the DLC he is not supposed to be promoting ANY candidate. He doesn't have any other job, so he cannot hide behind that.

So if he is promoting Hillary directly and unabashedly, he is actually violating the law

My guess is that he is walking the fine line legally, but what else would you expect from the DLC but self-promotion? Their entire career is built around being juuuuuusst to the left of the Republicans and being the lesser of two evils while pretending the rest of the Democratic party doesn't exist.

Oh, and they excel at losing elections...and a great job they are doing this time, eh?

44. Harold Ford Jr. said, "$50 will buy a lot of lunch meat."
He was on Hardball defending McCain and Hillary's retarded gas plan.
He inflated the numbers families would save to 48 bucks a month

Then he said, "you know to us that's not a lot of money, but for a lot of people in Indiana and NC
$50 is a lot of money. $50 could buy a lot of lunch meat."

What are they thinking these poor country, working class, uneducated, limited infromation voters, are dying to but LUNCH MEAT"

Careful Harold, your elitest is showing...

but can't they get campaign supporters that can tell the truth??
