Fun Fact: after tomorrow, Obama will have enough total delegates
that the remaining super delegates could put him over the top -- if they wanted to.

Obama has 1744.5 total delegates. Tomorrow he should get 90-110, so say he ends the day with 1850. That's 175 short of the magic number: 2024.5. There are 273.5 super delegates left.

Just saying...

1. If Obama wins NC and gets at least 40% of IN
The trickle of SDs you've been seeing moving toward Obama will turn into a stream.

6. I agree, but then I read about her nuclear option plans
and worry about her attempts to destroy all for her own greed.

The sooner she is given the coup de grace, the easier I will breathe.

27. Eh. That argument for the nuclear option depends upon the party apparatchicks..
... buying her "electability" argument.

That could all go down the drain after tomorrow.

4. The magic number is 80
If he gets 80 more super delegate endorsements it becomes impossible for Hillary to win the nomination.

21. What part?
I know the totals they have can vary from source to source, but I use DemConWatch's totals because they show all their sources.

They've got Obama at 1742.5, and I added the other two IL SD's they don't have up yet, so he's at 1744.5.

Is that the part you questioned? Or did I screw something up and I'm just not seeing it?

9. Hopefully enough SD's jump to Obama
So that his win in OR will officially put him over the top! That way, the perception will be an election will nominate him, instead of the SD's

13. Territories and Dems Abroad
They send (example) 2, but their vote only counts for 1 so they are .5 each.

Guam for example, is sending 8 pledged delegates but they only get 4 votes.

I look at it as a free vacation to Denver for extra people. :D

14. Americans Overseas ETC.
Take GUAM this weekend. The 5 Supers that were picked are ONE EACH. BUT the 4 TOTAL delegates (2 each for clinton and Obama) are actually 8 Total Delegates. So that if one of the Pledged wanted to switch, it would cause there to be a 1/2. OUCH. and so Today we have a half. What we need is ANOTHER half to move to or away from her and that will make it even again.

38. The total number just changed from 2024 to 2024.5
Because of the addtion of the democrat (Cayayoux?) who won the special election in LA this past weekend. He became a super delegate and thus the total number of super delegates went from 794 to 795. Evidently the SD total can go up or down between now and the convention while the total pledged delegate count of 3253 is fixed.

24. Some delegates from the territories are half delegates
America Samoa, Virgin Islands, Democrats Abroad, and Guam all have half delegates in the mix. I don't know how it parsed out in the first batch, but in Guam, for example, the 4 pledged delegates they split Saturday are actually 8 half delegates, and then they also have five super delegates that each are worth a full vote.

Clinton got a Democrat Abroad super delegate today, but for some reason that super delegate is only worth a half vote.

Strange and mysterious are the ways of the democratic primary process.

34. Un-luckily, Obama talking points and celebrations don't neccesarily convert into facts
His claim to the nomination on May 20 is invalid, both because of FL and MI and because the rules of the Democratic Party specifically state that you need a majority of all the delegates.
