Here are the poll closing times...
In Indiana..."polls shall remain open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on primary day, Tuesday, May 6, 2008."

In North Carolina..."Each polling place opens at 6:30 a.m. and closes at 7:30 p.m. on Primary Day."

12. it looks like the entire state comes in at 7 Eastern time
The part of Indiana that's normally in the Eastern time zone doesn't observe Daylight Saving Time, so the entire state is effectively in the Central time zone right now.

Ex-pat over here in Korea and was figuring out about what time to make a mad dash to the computer to check results. It looks like I'll be in class when both the polls close, but I have a break about 1/2 after NC closes. Hopefully by then we'll have some idea what happened in Indiana.

14. Polls close IN (4pm PDT/7pm EDT); NC (4:30pm PDT/7:30pm EDT)
no daylight savings means the whole state is effectively on Central Daylight Time.
