I don't see her getting the nomination, but if she does, I just hope that she really is the anti-Bush in this regard. Pandering, and centering to the middle for the election to win over the moderates and independents. Then after the election handing over the power to the harder left elements. Kind of like how Bush ran as a pandering moderate, and then swung hard conservative, but in reverse.

Hillary's plan has too many what ifs for this to happen by May 30th

What if, she gets the support in the senate
What if, the speaker of the house agrees to put this before the floor
What if, you pass a windfall profits tax
what if, Bush doesn't veto it, or say he does
What if, Congress overrides the veto, Has that happened in 7 years for anything?????

Happy, I am sure it still will not help, because it's clear those who support this idea and it is just and I idea will not change. And those who don't support this idea will not change
So we might as well have a good laugh about the whole thing.

You are part of the well informed of course. But Hillary has to know there is no way in hell that this will go through with Bush. Her own camapign has said this wont work but it is good politics.
No expert agrees with her on this..

There are people like you that know her very well and have good reason to vote for her.. But then there are others who are just now paying attention and will vote for her on this just to get this gas tax gone. She knows she can not deliver this but she is betting on their vote any way.

This is just another reason for me not to vote for her..
