Clinton internals show possible 15% NC defeat, according to Drudge
I know, I know, it's drudgereport, and it may simply be expectation lowering by the Clinton campaign. But it's interesting (if taken with a grain of salt). I don't think it will be that high, but hopefully it's at least a good sign.

1. Sometimes you have to take a peek over at the dark side
It's like me looking at Fox "News" from time to time. You just can't help it!

2. But - it won't count! NC doesn't count!
ANY state Hillary didn't win DOESN'T count!

25. She just said as much on Tom Joyner's Morning Show....
I've won the big states that we have to win in Nov. Obama's won states that we're never gonna win, or something to that effect. :puke:

Tom is an Obama supporter, but he has Hillary on quite often (too often), and I think he's covering his bases. Tom likes being invited to high falutin' functions, so he can brag about it on his show.

4. Clinton camp leaking fake numbers to make an 8 point loss look like an upset
Rovian shite at its purist.

It's a wonder anyone can tolerate such antics after 8 years of Bush, but the Hillarians seem to lap it up like champagne.

10. An 8 point Obama victory is ok by me! You are right. Does the rest of the world see how Hillary has
changed? I told my husband last night that she has turned to Rove politics so completely that I am amazed the media (and all of Washington) is not screaming about it at the top of their lungs.

7. I"m pretty sure that is what she's starting the day off with, due to
early voting. I read something yesterday that there was a likely 16% loss for her to make up right off the bat, due to that. She could still bring it close - so we shouldn't take anything for granted.

8. Drudge's report of Clinton internals predicting an 11 point win in PA was actually legit.
So this might be true. Zogby showed Obama up by 14 last night in North Carolina.

23. Yup. Remeber on Pennsylvania primary afternoon when Drudge leaked exit polls
showing Obama losing only by 4? That helped Clinton win the expectations game huge when she won PA by 9.2 which according to all this new math rounds up to 10.

9. drudge is only quoting Zogby
http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Poll_Obama_holds_14point_North_Carolina_0506.html

Indiana is neck and neck in the final Zogby poll before the primaries. North Carolina appears solidly in Barack Obama's camp.

"The pair of surveys of the Democratic presidential contests shows Obama with a significant 14-point lead in North Carolina, winning 51% support to Hillary Clinton’s 37%," Zogby writes. "Another 12% said they were either favoring someone else or were as yet undecided. In Indiana, the race is clear as mud, as Obama holds a statistically insignificant lead of two points, winning 45% support to Clinton’s 43% support, with 12% either undecided or favoring someone else."

that their candidate is far enough ahead and they are busy on the day of the election, they won't bother to vote for that candidate, since they think that the person will win anyway.

Like you say, sounds like they might be prepping for a "victory" speech if they lose by less than 15, or win. I'll wait for the actual results.

Oh, the Expectations They’ll Set!
Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

Matt Drudge is the beneficiary of a ham-handed “leak” about Clinton aides “believing” she will be blown out in North Carolina.

----

Don't fall for it. 5 - 10 win for Obama in NC after two terrible months.

26. wow, fudge doesn't even hide his motives anymore, inserts reason for article
into article itself.....

Let's go to the videotape (er, article):

"Her team will work hard throughout the day to lower all expectations in North Carolina. "

thanx Fudge!!! lower away, and when she loses by less than 15% that's a Clinton Victory right???

i bet by the end of today we'll be hearing it'll prolly be a 20% point blowout so they can spin the 15% as a win.....

32. They are lowering expectations...

Internals probably show a 5-10 point loss, so they are lowering expectations. If people expect a blowout but she only loses by double digits, they'll spin it as a huge victory.
