WARNING: Ignore posted Drudge numbers today
Edited on Tue May-06-08 08:41 AM by Seen the light
Hasn't DU learned its lesson YET? The numbers he posts ALWAYS end up more in favor of Senator Obama than the final tally does. Just back on April 22nd, he showed Senator Clinton winning by only four points.

So don't get your hopes up or your hopes disappointed by what you read on Drudge. The numbers he chooses to post are the least reliable ones around.

1. Well, more recently the day of the Pen primary
He posted Clinton internals showed them winning by 10, that that one turned out to be pretty close. That said, I hope the NC prediction is also on target.

2. He's already posting numbers to lower expectations for Clinton today. read on kos that his headline
is blaring a "Clinton internal" showing them "preparing" for a 15 point loss in NC, but they expect to win IND. The Kos poster noted Drudge originally posted Clinton's internals showed a 10 point win for her in IND, but then removed that sentence. This is the Clinton camp trying to set it up that anything less than +15 for Obama in NC is perceived as an Obama loss, and any win in IND for Clinton is a "shocking" win.

4. Oh they pulled the 10 point win part down?
Interesting.

3. Yep. Exit Polls only indicate fraud in foreign countries....
Real Americans lie to exit pollsters.

5. We are arguing different things. You are talking exit polls, we are talking internal polls.
Her leaked internals showed her up 11 in PA and that was posted on Drudge. So we are looking at something similar here.

8. Were those numbers leaked the day of Apr 22?
I'm going through his archives right now and I can't find that. Not saying you're wrong, just can't find it anywhere.

His exit poll numbers are jokes, or evidence of fraud....either way, his polls don't tell us a thing about what will happen in those states.

I just found the exit poll numbers he posted for March 4th and he said that they showed dead heats in TX, RI, and OH.

7. Exit polling
Cannot be trusted right now. Obama supporters are more willing to talk about their vote than Clinton supporters and Clinton supporters lie about who the voted for.

9. I won't ignore them
Generally speaking, Druge numbers have over estimated Obama's numbers by ~5-7% and underestimated Clinton's numbers similarly.

I'll do the math and set my personal expectations accordingly.

11. That's fair
I just don't want people to go batshit crazy when it shows Obama winning Indiana by 4 points and winning NC by 16 points.

10. I wouldn't be shocked to see him win by 10 though
The demographics there really just are rough for Hillary.

12. In my opinion, no one should ever believe anything they see on that site
and no Democrat should ever ever do anything that promotes that slimeball in the slightest.
