Will Republicans cause chaos in Indiana's Democratic primary?
Will Republicans cause chaos in Indiana's Democratic primary?

CNN) – Tuesday’s Democratic primary in Indiana is a major test for three campaigns: Hillary Clinton’s Barack Obama’s — and Rush Limbaugh’s.

Because many Republicans believe Sen. John McCain, the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee, has a better chance of beating Clinton in the general election, Limbaugh has encouraged listeners to his popular radio show to vote for the New York senator. Limbaugh’s pro-Clinton campaign has been dubbed “Operation Chaos.”

Some exit polls from Ohio and Texas suggest that Limbaugh’s “Operation Chaos” may have had an impact on results in both states.

Indiana “is so red and so Republican,” said Indianapolis radio host Jake Query, that one of the interesting questions on Tuesday “is how many people who are actually registered Republicans will now switch over for this primary and vote” for Clinton.

“There is some talk about that, there really is,” Query’s co-host Terri Stacy said Tuesday about Limbaugh’s campaign in favor of Clinton.

Query and Stacy host a morning news show on Indianapolis radio station WIBC. They discussed Indiana’s Democratic primary with CNN’s Alina Cho on American Morning. Indiana’s open primary system allows supporters of the Republican Party to vote in Tuesday’s Democratic contest between Clinton and Obama.

4. I just wanted to remind people that she wins these states with the help of the GOP
and the rightwing propaganda machine. This shows everyone how out of date the Democratic party is. Superdelegates, open primary bs

2. Glad the MSM seems to finally be noticing the Limbaugh effect
Hopefully if it does have an effect it will get some media coverage this time. I think it's one of the reasons Obama started to slip among white voters, which started making him look unelectable and thus caused him to lose more white support.

6. They won't be able to ignore it in Indiana
When there are more votes than Registered Democrats. The place is politically awful. I lived there for 3 years. The people are nice and the state has some really beautiful places but this is the heart of the rightwing beast. The day I left to move back to the east coast I bought a $120 bottle of champagne to celebrate.

5. Any new news on the 1.1 million voter purge in IN predominantly AA districts?
I read a bit about it earlier this morning and hadn't heard anything else since.

10. Not sure, only had a brief chance to read a bit before having to leave
to vote and run errands, then got back on this afternoon to see if there was any update and couldn't find any discussion about it. It well could have been a suspect report. Thanks for the response.

8. Randi Rhodes has a different take, calling "operation chaos" nothing more...
....than an attempt by the fatman to cover up the desertion of thousands of fed-up Republicans. True Republicans who are pissed off at the way things are, not simply playing some game at the behest of an addict with a microphone.

11. I'm sure there's some of that, too.
I suspect the breakdown is, if they vote for Hillary they're Operation Chaos - if they vote for Obama, they're really pissed off with their party.
