Obama steadily gaining in IN
To be fair, she's probably going to win IN. But in the pat half an hour the point-differential has dropped from 14% to 8%. It certainly looks like she won't get the big win she needed. And anything she gains in delegates or the popular vote will be MORE than offset by his wiping the floor with her in NC.

27. He will probably gain 20 to 30 thousand more votes just in Indianapolis
With only about 50% in there he is beating her by over 20,000 votes. If he can gain by 20 or 30,000 near Chicago this thing will be razer thin.

But a 15 point win in NC and a 5 point loss in IN is about as close to a win as BO could have asked for.

14. Seriously. If he can bring IND below 5, the race is over.
Edited on Tue May-06-08 07:41 PM by BullGooseLoony
Especially winning by almost 30% ATM in NC. If he can win IND, Clinton can call it herself.

Part of me is actually still wondering if he JUST MIGHT pull it out there. Not likely- but with every 10% in, the gap is closing 2%....

That will be mathematically meaningless especially if Obama's gigantic leads holds in NC. This night is a definitive victory for Obama.

ah well, I wish Obama had carried IN. Even so, North Carolina was sweet. And important. It would be great if N.C. could go blue.

So far, 53 - 47, with 68 percent of the vote in - 6:14pm pacific time. That's the tightest yet. Holy Crap - 59 - 39 in NC, 32 percent in. OUCH.
