1. It would be an interesting ticket.
Another would be a unity ticket with Hagel.

2. He brings what to the ticket? A group? A state? We already will win NY.

3. Other. Love the Obama part, less enthusiastic over the Bloomberg part.
Bloomberg left the Democratic Party to beat Mark Green, my favorite Democratic candidate in the NYC mayoral race. He out-muscled Green with that fat bank account.

Bloomberg, to be fair, has been infinitely superior to his predecessor, the desperado shithead Rudy Giuliani. I'm willing to make that case, certainly, but Obama can select among a lot of people to ask the convention to nominate a veep, and I'm guessing Bloomberg will not make the shortlist. I'd expect him to be a player, though. As Republicans-now-Independents go, he and Chafee are cut from quite a different cloth than the run-of-the-mill Just Republican voter / public servants.

I could live with it but would prefer a Democrat for the veep slot.

4. The only ticket I wouldn't like is Obama/Lieberman.
I would consider anything else.

10. Yes, I'd go for that
Bloomberg, by accounts of the people I know in NYC, has done a great job. People tend to forget he was a Democrat who crossed over to the Republican side of the ticket because there were no republican candidates and the democratic field was loaded. Pretty savy political move, IMO.

12. It makes a lot of sense
They’re both conservative, well, Obama's more concervitive, and I wouldn’t support them, but it makes a lot of sense.

15. A billionaire from New York who can't decide which party he wants to be in??
No, I don't see what advantage that brings to the ticket. At least Chuck Hagel would bring some of the electro-fraud machines with him.

(and no, that isn't an endorsement of him either)

18. A Testament to Bipartisanship
I'm a big Bloomberg fan (he's my mayor), but I'm not sure if having two braniacs on a ticket is a good idea. I know this is politics of the most idiotic sort, but I think he needs someone that seems more earth-bound and salty. It never hurts to deliver a swing state with simple geography, but I think a prudent choice on character/narrative grounds could overcome something so literal.

20. These VP polls...
I vote for Democrats for a reason. If the VP choice is some GOP politician, that ticket will not have my vote. I do not vote for Republicans, ever. Obama is already way too conservative for my taste, a Republican VP would be out of the question.

Nothing says "change" like putting an opportunistic Republican billionaire on the ticket. Come on, think this through.

25. Pure stupidity
Seriously, if a democrat picked a republican for VP I would not vote. There are literally thousands of well qualified of democrats for Obama to pick.

Picking a republican would smother all this eunthusiasm, only the delusional Obamites wuld think it was a good idea.
