This primary has proven to me that human cruelty knows no bounds.

Every day someone new becomes a villain. Every day mean-spirited words pass from one person to the next. Every day a person justifies hurting someone else for the mere sensation of political "victory."

What have we become? Have we given it much thought? I don't believe we have. We have only shown ourselves to be petty and small, save the few of us who extend a hand of graciousness from time to time. Look at who we are! We're not people capable of governing ourselves, but players in our own destruction. People power? Bullshit. More like mindless mob-power.

The question I have is: Is this who we want to be? We have a choice in the matter. We each can take responsibility for our own actions or we can jump into the muddy river with the others. However there are already so many of us swimming that we most assuredly will drown.

(And perhaps that would be for the best?)
