It is time to get behind the presumptive nominee
I have my qualms about this centrist (not that I didn't have them about his opponent either) and why I never got behind either of them

But the math is clear...

Barack Obama is the candidate. Therefore I am now for him... and will vote for him in November.

Yes, there is a chance she could pull it off... if she takes 75% of votes in the rest of the contests... that ain't gonna happen... historically the highest numbers ANY candidate has ever gotten is in the mid sixties, that is off by ten points.

So yes, we do have a nominee... on to McCain and the RIGHT WING...

Oh and folks, from the last 36 hours... I expect the most committed of the Hillary Clinton base to leave the Democratic party the same way the dixicrats left. In fact, given the surreal comments from the campaign, I will not be too shocked if many in her staff, or even her, do that when all is said and done. A hell of a record to be remembered for NOT.

There is nothing we can do about that. This is realignment, and the type that happens every so often in the US, about once a generation to be exact... yes, it is to that level. The side that looses that kind of a realignment usually leave one party for the other stamping feet and throwing a tantrum or quietly leave power. What we are seeing, possibly. and I hope I am right, is the end of power for the DLC... and about bloody time.

I don't think we will see that radical of a change in DC... not after 2006... but perhaps circumstances will force the new administration to do such... after all, I keep reminding myself FDR DID NOT run on the New Deal Platform... but indeed, assuming we win the election, in November, and we should... this should be the dawn of a new era... and perhaps a switch to the left... and the center moving to the center and away from the extreme right where it right now resides.

1. I'll vote for him, but my time and resources are going to woman candidate
So that next time I don't have to listen to anyone tell me that it just wasn't the "right" woman this time.

Yes, I'm devastated. Let me know if there's a single Obama person who cares.

4. I do care. It's a terrible feeling. I was on board with Dean
way early (he was my guv) and it was difficult to give it up.

6. If it makes ya feel any better ........
...if this would have gone the other way - I would have voted for Hillary. Because the ultimate goal is to get the rabid Ultra Right Wing vermin out of the People's House.

Obama person here - and yea, I care - about the ultimate goal and I would vote for anyone who can make that goal a reality, period.

But I'm happy that Obama won........

8. I am hispanic, and I was initially for Richardson
but I couldn't imagine saying
"I'll vote for Obama, but my time and resources are going to a hispanic candidate. So that next time I don't have to listen to anyone tell me that it just wasn't the "right" hispanic this time."

Hillary Clinton continues to run an awful campaign, her failure has nothing to do with her being a woman.

10. Richardson lost me when he wanted to take Great Lakes water
down to his overdeveloped desert. It showed me his grasp of issues was not strong.

I don't get that with Hillary. Her grasp of issues is phenomenal, and it's being tossed on the ash heap.

11. Hillary is losing touch with reality
and looking more and more like Baghdad Bob every day. I don't see her "grasping" at much except for straws.

She could have won the nomination EASILY, if she ran an intelligent campaign. Running like a Republican is only a good idea in the Republican primaries.

I live in MI, and while I disagree with Richardson on that issue, I agree with Hillary on very little lately.

12. Lisa this IS a historic campaign
any way you slice it

You had three minorities running.... (HIspanic, black and woman) Several Catholics as it was pointed to me, not just one

And a black man will be the next president of the united states.

This campaign will be studied for decades to come by historians and political scientists

But a lot of the damage has been self inflicted by HRC, and her surrogates... and that will also be part of the historical record

Here is more factoid for you... anyway you slice it, this is the first campaign since the 1960 election that a President is coming from the Senate and.... JFK wasn't that much older.

TIme may allow you to see the WHIOLE campaign for the historical one it has been

2. How many of the media need to declare it before Skinner does here?
The media proclaims it, so should we:

OBAMA IS THE PRESUMPTIVE NOMINEE
