Edited on Thu May-08-08 01:30 PM by hnmnf
Argue for your guy or gal. If i Missed one, vote other and tell me who. My vote goes to John Kerry, who has been the most effective surrogate on TV for Obama.

2. My choice would be Robert Reich
He's intelligent, articulate and when he makes the rounds on MSM he represents Obama well...I liked the guy when he was in the Clinton administration, too.

He's genuinely impressed with all the young voters Obama is bringing in.

29. Kerry did respond appropriately - it was the lack of surrogates of HIS quality that made it
more difficult to beat down the media set ups the way Kerry does for Obama.

In 2004, even Obama wasn't ready to be a competent surrogate for a presidential nominee. He's learned quite a bit since then thanks to good sharp Dems, including from Kerry, himself.

23. Dean: Inasmuch as Obama and Gov. Dean have been fighting the same fights, I'd say he's been a good
surrogate. Example, that the nominee requires 2025 delegates; they've both been fighting McCain; Howard Dean's feelings on "God, guns and gays"; wanting to end this thing sooner rather than later... et cetera.

24. Kerry just tore apart Clinton's latest "demographics" claims today
He said she was wrong on the facts of previous elections and wrong on the kind of vote Obama will pull in the General Election.

28. I think the timing of Kerry endorsement was a turning point
for Obama, which was followed closely by Kennedy. I'm not sure if Kerry didn't come out when he did, if Obama would be where he's at now.

31. Before that endorsement, Kerry quietly gave Obama access to the national political network
he had put together in 2003-4, and that national organization has helped lay the groundwork to defeat the Clinton machine which hadn't paid attention to the details of the state races the way Kerry's team had.

It's apparent that the Clintonites working for the DNC back then and who injected themselves into Dem campaigns in 2000 and 2004 were actually the WEAK LINKS for Dem campaigns.
