1. She can't
The political parties discourage independent runs by making election laws so you have to file well in advance of the GE. One of the few things they agree on.

In alot of states that deadline has passed or will pass by the last Primary.

19. Phew...but HRC can campaign AGAINST Obama without thinking about winning in 08 but 12. She's stupid
...and that's why I don't see her following rules right now.

6. If she does, she'll be running as a DLC spoiler for McGoo.
Ain't no Republicans going to vote for her, and she knows it. It would be the end of her political life, and she'd pretty much have to know that, too.

15. It all started
With the show of unity after the debate before Ohio and 3 days later she was on TV screaming "Shame on you Barack Obama"

We don't trust her...rightfully so.

for thinking Obama may have to literally drive a stake through her heart to get her to drop out. I mean, it's May, for God's sake, and she pretty much lost the nom back in February.

16. Wow.. that would be waaaay interesting
HRC
Barr
Obama
McCain..

Obama's victory would be even easier :)

HRC's "base" (and I DO mean base in both senses of the definition) would largely evaporate..

Is there ANYTHING in her past to suggest that she'd turn on the Party? Has she not said directly a number of times she'd support the nominee. What do you want, a blood oath?

32. Usually I say I wouldn't put anything past her - after all she did vote to murder
hundreds of thousands of Iraqis in order to make herself President. (We couldn't prevent her from doing it, but we DID prevent her from profiting by it). But this scenario--in which she runs as an Lieberman-Independent--is one I actually do think she's not capable of. Not because of the base moral character of such a move, but because it would hurt her so much politically and financially.

Go back to sleep. :)

In all seriousness though, I can't see her throwing away all of the political capital and influence she has built in this party to pursue a contest she knows she can't win.
