I'm Ok With Obama Paying Off Hillary's Debts...
Under two conditions:

1. The Money does not pay off Hillary's own contributions (currently over $11.4 Million

2. Mark Penn's portion of the debt. Hillary owed him over $4.5 Million for March, and at current rate, she's probably owes him about $9 million).

She took the risk and she's allowed to forgive her own loans.

Mark Penn deserves nothing for running one of the most miserable primary campaign failures in history. Plus, he's a union-busting scum bag repuke.

1. Agreed.
If Obama paid the business vendors her campaign has stiffed, that would be fine by me.

2. I think Bill and Hillary should pay off their own damned debts.

3. That is exactly how I feel about it
I think I heard that Obama can't use the funds allotted for the primary campaign for the GE, so if he uses those to pay her vendors/obligations I think that fine. But paying her personal loans, and money owed to Mark Penn is not OK. She should have figured a loss into her decision to loan her campaign her own money, and she should sue Mark Penn for his incompetence and not pay his ass at all. Obama sure shouldn't pay him anything. Just my opinion.

4. But doesn't that money.
that he can't use for the General, go to help funding other Democrats running for election? I think I'd like to know where that money ordinarily goes, and I think his supporters should make the decision. It would be easy enough for them to contact contributors on line and get a consensus.

6. That's a mistake and I've been corrected on it.
Obama CAN use primary funds for the general election. He just can't use general election funds in the primary.

So, I think he can afford to pay off the local vendors, schools, and small businesses.

8. Agree 100%. Pay off the businesses she left in her wake
No reason to drag down small businesses coast to coast becuase her barge sank.

11. I know how you feel, but I can justify it as just $ going to the General
Essentially $ I spent trying to heal the party after the big rift, bringing us back together so we can move forward.

It's all politics.

12. I think she could be a VERY effective attack dog
for Obama, so long as she can fend off questions as to why she "endorsed" McCain, which might be impossible.

Other than that, she has work to do in Washington and New York.

13. I'm okay with him headlining a couple of fund raisers to help her but not to take any $ he has
put aside right now for the general election.
