2. I kind of think what she is doing is worse... It's exploiting the problem
instead of trying to correct it. Worse yet, she clearly knows it's wrong, but is doing it because it's political advantageous for her to do so.

15. She's giving them justification. I think *some* do know it's wrong, but
allow their hatred to stand in the way. When leaders give them a platform to seem cheated or betrayed by the government, of course they're going to stand up for that leader.

27. simple racists are ignorant. people who would use it for personal
gain are worse and its disengenuous of some to say that they are only using it because if you can say it, you are it.

7. Nah, it's called "politics as-usual".
As Obama would say. That's why I'm supporting him, because he doesn't stoop to that sort of B.S. tactic.

It's just basically how people here are spinning her take on the demographics of the vote.

20. When someone thinks people of color
are worth less, and their votes aren't as valuable, that is the definition of a racist person. Would she like it if people thought her vote is worth less because she is a woman? Or because she is older? I'm sure she'd be yelling sexism at the top of her lungs. Yet in her mind to do the same to black people is okey dokey. If she doesn't believe this way, why is she talking the way she is? There are no excuses for her behavior whatsoever.

21. Gee, that sounds familiar:
From your poll thread:

Quoting Buzz Clik:

You can make racist comments without being a racist.

I'm fairly convinced that Hillary is more of an opportunist than a racist...

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=5885876&mesg_id=5885967

But, you know, including the whole quote would have been nice:

Quoting Buzz Clik:

You can make racist comments without being a racist.

I'm fairly convinced that Hillary is more of an opportunist than a racist, but her comments (as addressed in the poll) are just horrible.

And rightfully so. Why on earth does Hillary get a pass?

25. Yeah, I've made this point before, but to deaf ears.
Look at it this way. Who's worse: an SS man who completely buys into all of Goebbels' and Hitler's rhetoric about the Jews, and acts out of his true belief? Or a civilian who knows it's all bullshit, but calls the SA on his neighbors so that he can steal their jewelry and silverware?

It's like the difference between murder for hire and murder by a schizophrenic. I never understood why we put the schizophrenic to death and give the hit man a sentence, sometimes not even life. I think it's worse if you know what you're doing is wrong but profit from it anyway.

26. If black leaders stay in 'their own areas" we (the majority) will allow them their
leadership positions.

But Barack is venturing out into territory that some feel is not his to take.

The backlash will be viscious and unapologetic.

There's a sinister kind of racism that's this middle ground: "Live and let live, but not in my neighborhood."

That's the part she's using. And just like B*, she's giving absolution for this medium-rare soft racism: "I'll let you feel ok about your racism if you put me in the whitehouse."

That's the part that smells bad. It's almost worse than someone who's never known people of other cultures who fears them out of total ignorance.

And what aggravates it is her claim that she and all women suffer from gender bias. We're supposed to be aware of our own gender biases, but a racial bias is OK as long as she wins.

This is why people don't like her or trust her. She should be above this. A real democrat wouldn't do this.
