95. No, those who threaten to vote for McCain or stay home aren't needed.
There is a difference between jilted Hillary Honeymooners and the Spoilers. The spoilers who threaten to take down the party out of a fit of pique are neither progressives nor feminists nor Democrats, and they are a shrill but insignificant minority, and they can fucking blow me.

4. It reminds me of a friend of mine
who says that in lieu of "fuck you".

I just wasn't expecting it, so it caught me by surprise -- and made me laugh.

6. Nice demonstration of short-sightedness. ....
We need the majority of the Hillary voters to win. That's a fact. It is Obama's job to win them over, and I believe he can do it, but it's not going to make it easier for him if his supporters tell Hillary voters they aren't needed just because they won't allow Obama supporters to shove Obama down their throats.

The Hillary supporters have had a tough time lately, and are understandably disappointed and angry. They are reacting and lashing out at the handiest taget, which happens to be Obama's supporters on a message board.

We need to give them the space to work through this and make their own decisions. I have faith in Democrats, and believe the majority of Hillary supporters will come around.

I remember when Dean in 2004 withdrew from the primary. Many of us were angry and disappointed, and many of us lashed out at Kerry supporters. Many of us swore we would never vote for Kerry . But the vast majority of us obviously did, based on the Dem turnout in November.

I have faith in our fellow Democrats. I don't think those who are rightfully angry and grieving now are "spoilers." I also believe when we call them "spoilers" or "Republicans" or tell them their votes aren't need, or tell them they need to go post elsewhere because of their opinions candidates which don't agree with ours, that we work against our own goal. We stiffen their resolve NOT to vote for Obama, and NOT to unite and work for a Dem victory in November.

My new mantra is PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE. This ain't gonna happen overnight, and it soemthing we all simply have to go through. There is no way around this: we have to go striaght throught the middle.

8. LOL. I use it from time to time, even though I'm a woman...
Most of these very evocative terms (like "blow me" and "balls to the wall") are male-specific, and don't translate to women. Saying "ovaries to the wall" just isn't the same, is it?

9. It Wouldn't Make Much Sense From Coming From A Woman, IMHO
And it's intended to emasculate the person you are referring to...

11. What makes you think a woman doesn't want to emasculate an opponent?...
IMO, "emasculate" is a term for eunuching, making less powerful. It obviously was originally termed to be used against a man, becuase men were the ones who were considered the only ones who fought battles. In today's world, however, "emasculate" can be used against movements, ideas, concepts and even a woman, although if it's a woman some explaining needs to be done, i.e., "Her bid for the White House has been emasculated."

There simply are not evocative terms that can be used by women, or against women, when it comes to fighting a battle (even a battle on a message board). So we have to use what we have.

Besides, the shock of seeing the word used by a woman, or against a woman, usually gives people pause for a few seconds while the woman can charge ahead.

13. IMHO, If A Man Tells A Woman To "Blow Her" It Doesn't Make Sense
It's anatomically impossible...

Maybe if she said "Fuck you and anybody who looks like you" which is my favorite or "Fuck off and die" that would make sense...

10. nice post Political Amazon
I had the same feelings in 2004, but there was no way in hell I was going to vote for that idiot Chimperor. I hope many Hillary supporters do not vote for McBush, as he a continuation of Bush's policies.
