I took a leave of absence because the fighting amongst ourselves started to outweigh my desire to post. There are people on both sides I greatly respect, I just hope they are all still here somewhere. In any case, very nice to "meet" you! :)

4. I think it's simmering down a bit

There's a bit of uncivil unrest lingering, but for the most part things are simmering down. I had a great chat with a woman who's been around 7 years and a lot of this seems to stem from the huge influx of newbies. I am trying to stay on message (for me it's about the GE anymore) but even that is starting to take on an ugly air.

Where've you been hanging out? In the lounge? It's a lot more friendly over there. Also, the Campaigns/Politics thread is MUCH quieter. Anyway, we're not that far apart in posts, but I'd like to say welcome aboard!

OH, What sorts of things do you normally like to post? I'll be looking for ya 'round the school yard.

5. I spent the evening sifting through posts

and it does appear DU is much less.. um.. viciously divided.

I haven't been hanging out anywhere on DU since I decided to take a break from it. I think its a good time to return and hopefully continue to make friends and contribute where I can.

I normally post in here or in the general, but Ill be frequenting the lounge area as well I think. Oh, here's a pic for the Obama people I made out of boredom but rather quickly.
