For your RW In-Laws: Limpballs and Anthrax Annie on McCain
Just a quick post before I head off to take a shower, bleach my eyes, and burn my laptop ...

I wanted to give my fellow DU'ers something to use with their creepy right-wing in-laws when they start pushing McCain on you between asking when you're going to give them grandchildren/get a better job/cut your hair/send them money. So I ventured forth with and return now with this steaming pile of rw-smear ... oddly enough, rw-smear against the rw. I'm not suggesting that you use these as talking points--you'd need to gargle with Draino afterward--but just as a gentle reminder that anyone who votes for McCain votes alone!

Antrhax Annie

"I know that he was a POW, because he mentions it more often than Kerry mentions he was in Vietnam. There were hundreds of POWs and we are not going to make all of them president. Can't we find a POW who doesn't want to shut down Guantanamo."

"I'm not comparing McCain to Hitler. Hitler had a coherent tax policy."

"McCain is a liberal who had to win votes from conservatives in Arizona."

"McCain hysterically opposes dripping water down the terrorist's noses."

"I don't think he would ever appoint a judge without talking to his good friend Ted Kennedy."

Limpballs

“If I were to endorse McCain based on the current circumstances, I’d be looked at as a party hack.”

“What he has got to be concerned with, is all these Republican voters who say right now they’re so fed up they’re not going to vote at all. That’s deeper than they realize.”

"I no longer am going to have to carry the water for people who I don't think deserve having their water carried."

"{I will not} pretend that Senator McCain is the choice of conservatives when exit-poll data from every primary state show just the opposite."

"I believe it would be a setback for the Republican Party to attract liberals and independents by being like them in order to attract them."

"I'm here to tell you, if either of these two guys {McCain or Huckabee} get the nomination, it's going to destroy the Republican Party."

Bonus Laura 'No Catchy Nickname' Ingram

"There is no way in hell I could pull the lever for John McCain."

Bonus David 'Wingnut Welfare' Limbaugh link

Warning: Only for the truly brave. Please, no elderly, pregnant women, or people with high blood pressure.

Now I'm off to erase my own memory. Please, don't let my sacrifice be in vain!

2. Well done, I'll bookmark this for future reference during the GE.
Now go and format your cerebral cortex and reinstall from original media.

3. This is why I'm concerned with putting Hillary on the ticket
“What he has got to be concerned with, is all these Republican voters who say right now they’re so fed up they’re not going to vote at all. That’s deeper than they realize.”

Nothing will bring them back into the fold like the opportunity to take down the Clintons though.

4. Good point ... I think Rush secretly wants that, too
Because he's got 8 years worth of tapes ... he can just plug them back in and go on vacation. :P

7. Absolutely!
There is nothing that would unify the repubs like Hillary on the ticket... goodness they'd even expand their base!

5. Aww come on!
All the folks who cry, 'Let's go after McCain!' and I've only got a couple of responses?

You're making me feel like I have no friends.

6. This is why I'm confident
of our chances in the fall. They are NOT happy about McCain. But Bush promised it to him back in 2000. Let's not forget they painted him as the Manchurian candidate back then. Maybe we can find our own 527 to polish that one off and put it back on the teevee. :P

They have every bit as much infighting as we do, and they're just trying to project a happy face. They're scared, lost another firm Republican seat, 32 years in fact, in Louisiana just last week. They know they're being thrown out and John McCain is their sacrificial lamb. What a brave boy he is.
