All the people who are planning to vote for McCain because their egos are bruised
How are you going to explain your actions to the sick children that you wanted to put a person in office who SAID he does not believe his own country is not responsible for helping them no matter what their parents say, do or care about?

Are you going to tell them you voted for McCain because your egos told you to? That their own health and education and well being mattered less than your need for vengeance?

1. calm down, he will win w/o the support of those who are not voting for him.....
due to the fact that they do not BELIEVE in him, and do not buy his schtick, or for whatever reason. polls show that he does not need those who do not want him. why are you guys bugging out? many people do not want him, many non-hillary supporters, many democrats, many independents, etc. So you can continue to insult people or just simmer down and be glad that there is no way any democrat can lose this year. Didn't you read the article i just posted about how gop'ers everywhere are losing by landslides? they have no chance. Bo has a very good campaign and does not need people like me, who are just not buying into his campaign.

5. "...there is no way any democrat can lose this year..."
I was convinced of that last time, too. And the polls showed how unpopular the war was. Granted, they fucked with the votes, but it was close enough for them to be able to get away with it.

We can't take it for granted.

8. Very true. Anybody that sits out an election because their

horse doesn't lead the race does a major disservice to their country and party.

Could you be a little more specific?

the people you want to "unite" with are people who want positive change, regardless of party. You do not want to try and unite with the people who cling to their racism and bigotry. Fuck them.

20. Why do you make it about "him"?
In the GE, isn't it all about, only about, which candidate's policies will be better for the country? (or less bad, if you must think of it that way) One of them will win. You and the people you can influence have a bit of say in which one it will be.

Whether you "buy into" Obama's campaign or not, whether you buy into his "schtick" or not, is he worse than McCain?

If he isn't worse than McCain, ultimately shouldn't you at least cast your vote as a rejection of McCain?

I don't like Hillary but you can be damn sure that if she somehow gets the nomination, I ** will ** vote against McCain. Which will look like a vote "for Hillary" when they count the votes but that doesn't matter to me. I care about my country and despise what McCain will do to it, far more than I dislike Hillary or how she has run her campaign. I would hope Hillary supporters likewise care about their country and future generations that much, and I am sure they are smart enough and liberal enough to reject McCain. Threats otherwise not withstanding.

2. If I was even THINKING about voting for McCain --
I'd just have to envision my nephew in an army uniform. No way would I let a man who is so pro military/war into the WH.

attacking people who said they'll vote for McCain than there are people who've said they'd vote for McCain.

19. Where have you been?
There's been plenty of threads created by sore loser Hillary supporters about this. Not suggesting that all or even most of the Hillary supporters on DU are like this, but there have been some very vocal ones who are. It normally takes the form of, "Convince me why I should vote for Obama, or I'm going to crossover and vote for McCain." The responses range from a 'screw you' to 'Roe v. Wade'. One thread in particular a Hillary supporter said that she had always voted Democrat for like 30 years or something, but was probably going to vote for McCain.

evidently aren't DUers anymore.

But still, did they say they'd vote for McCain? Or that they wouldn't vote for Obama?

Do you know how many Obama supporters have said they'd never vote for Clinton if she were the nominee?

31. I don't see a problem with that
Democrats who vote for McCain are selfish assholes. There are a whole number of reasons why that is the case. Might as well point as many of them out as possible.

They don't support any ideals as such...they are merely fanatical, frightening stalker-type individuals with a fixation on Clinton. A crush that has gone too far, if you will.

9. Anyone who votes for mccain believes we should have a permanent presence in Iraq
They also do not believe in a person's right to privacy, funding head start programs, the GI bill, a holiday honoring Martin Luther King, and civil rights

11. That came from Hillary about being the most electable et al.
Why the hell would a DEM vote for "100 years would be fine with me" and "Ill appoint judges Like ALito" I think the stats are wrong. The ones switching to McCain from Hillary are Repukes just voting for Hillary not dems. What would be in their mind to switch to McCain it makes no sense. Not sure why the press has run with this, theres no there there. They are the OLD regan democrats, who probably would vote for a Black guy. OBAMA needs with men, plain and simple. If he can just get a 44-56 split he is in.

12. PLEASE DONT VOTE FOR MCCAIN.. My sons are almost drafting age.
That is what scares me most about McCain. He is so pro-war, and with the neocons obviously now running his campaign I know he will step up the Iraq war and most likely start a war with Iran.
Our military can not handle that as it is now. The draft will be used if McCain wins this..

are killed they probably will be happy if woman who get abortions die during the process.

Of Course these are the fanatics but I wonder how many there are out there.
