Do you remember how you felt when CNN's Leslie Blitzer told us to "get over it'.?
How did you feel, just the other day, when Fat Nino told us once again to "get over it"?

That phrase holds meaning to many of us. Maybe even to you. To many of us, it is essentially the same as saying to us, shut the fuck up and eat the shit we're about to feed you .... and bend over while we fuck you as you eat it. For some of us, when we look at our ever diminishing lifestyle, we think about 'get over it.' When we consider the war and the carnage and the death and the debilitation of scores of thousands (at least), it is hard to 'get over it'.

When we look up from under that bus where we've spent the past eight years, 'get over it' is a difficult concept.

When I hear some of you, in victory, telling those who do not support your guy, those who otherwise **share your values*, those who you need to take him to victory, those who, just a few months ago, you walked with arm in arm, to 'get over it', the affect is the same.

Rage.

I didn't get over the sentiment in Leslie's admonition.

I was enraged anew when Fat Nino said it.

I have NOT "gotten over it".

But you go ahead, Get the high fives from your posse.

Your attitude toward those who don't agree with you is .......... words fail me.

Maybe try to do something that a lot of liberals like to say they do.

Think.

Your anger is better aimed at the other party. Your opponent is well past irrelevant and on into 'pathetic' territory. For her, it IS over.

But you just keep flogging everybody who doesn't agree with you and telling them to 'get over it.

That'll help.

A lot.

I am NOT over watching President Gore being barred from the White House by a bunch of right wing, hack, partisan judges who covered for the theft of the presidency by a bunch of thugs.

I am NOT over watching a good man get handed his hat, and be stripped of his valor, by the incessant lies - LIES - that the media kept in front of us and legitimized for not hours or days, but weeks and months.

"Get Over It" holds lots of bad karma, people.

Choose some other words or better yet, just stop gloating.

You're not helping.

1. There really isn't that much gloating right now
There is more outrage that there are still attacks being made on our candidate and people calling us stupid and the democratic party stupid because he's the nominee. That and the blatant race baiting from her campaign the last 5 days pertty much sums up the anger.

5. utter bullshit
I've been told to "get over it" numerous times in the past few days, and I've said nothing negative about Obama. On top of that, I've made it abundantly clear I'm supporting him. What I have done, and will continue doing, is defend Clinton from the more asinine attacks against her.

If the price of admission to supporting our nominee is to hop aboard the Clinton-hate train, we're going to lose this fall. People here need to grow the fuck up.

11. No on is asking anyone
to put down their love for the Clintons as a prerequisite of joining team Obama. I considered voting for the her up to September and until I saw how she mismanaged her campaign I thought she'd be a good President.

What we are asking people to do is put away their swords. Some people will and IMO they are good because they aren't interested in seeing John McCain on January 21, 2009. Some are bad because they are looking at 2012.

You REALLY need to get out more.

See ..... here's the deal ...... what gets said on sites like that means absolutely nothing. NO THING. NA and DA. ZILCH.

And then to add "plus a few here".

All tallied up that's what ..... fourteen people? I'm sorry, but that's pretty damned silly to take that seriously.

because you are a self righteous. You didn't pick a horse in this race so now you feel you have some sort of moral authority to call out one group of supporters over another. You add nothing to either side. We have refrees on here. They are called moderators.

Bad things have been said by both supporters but you have blinders on what is being said by one side over the other right now.

Someone posted something about that last week. I've not been over there but someone posted some comments from the site that didn't sound like anything I've heard from Clinton supporters posting here on DU that belong to it. Not saying that all Clinton supporters are angels in their posts here, but neither are all Obama supporters. I have no doubt that all our sites are heavily infested with Repug Ops and that some of them are obvious and get the stone but others are very carful. Maybe, that Hillary site is the same.

I've had one Clinton supporter explain to me that the youth vote was bad and that's the reason we are in this mess. That I'd regret working for him and donating money once his true colors are shown.

I've been told that I'm voting for McCain because he's the lesser of two evils.

I could go on and on.

Not now, not ever. To think your opinion would ever sway anything I do or say is presumpuous at best! I've never asked anyone to get over anything, for that exact reason. If I choose to stay here and support senator Clinton until she decides to drop out, that is not be of any concern to anyone not supporting her. I just laugh at how stupid some people are thinking anyone gives a flying fuck what an anonymous internet poster thinks.

There is no rush for us to all run into a room and hold an Obama sign. When he becomes the nominee, there will be plenty of time.
There is no need for you to post or repeat what a political pundit has to say on the subject, I don't give a flip what they think, either, and for you to post their thoughts just serves to show you have not the wherewithal to come up with something original.

Don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes!

who have fully and completely said that they will vote for McCain

It is partly out of anger, and of those 18 I KNOW that 16 will vote Dem in the Fall... even if some do not admit it

It is the other two that will be amusing

They may, or may not cross party lines... or stay home... or split fifty-fifty.

And that is where some of the anger is coming from

By the way those 18 folks should be, at this point, ingnred in their worst behavior

And as to the get over it comment... nobody has stolen this election...(YET), but 2004, 2002 and 2000 were, and you may argue some of 2006

Stealing an election is not a political act, or even a dirty trick. It is an act of war.

The Right are probably too stupid to know it, but they started the second Civil War when they stole the Presidency.

51. "Leslie" was an Al Franken invention
If you think that is insulting in some way to Wolf, the joke's on you.

Al Franken came up with that as a one-liner when he was a featured speaker at the White House Correspondents Dinner back in the early Clinton years. Wolf thought it was hilarious. I bet he would even find the use of it on forums like this more laughable. It doesn't demean him in the least, if that's your intent. Actually, it demeans your arguments against him if you can't marshal the facts, as it is pretty obvious he has little journalistic integrity.

Amazes me to this day people think Wolf is actually concealing his real name. Wolf may not be the most truthful reporter out there, but he is honest about his name, which is more than most of us posting in relatively anonymous safety on the net can say.
