1. How about reject instead of dislike...
Dislike infers that we'd be tolerant of the idea...

2. it is absolutely not going to happen
on the flip side, i believe that clinton will have to vigorously campaign for obama, to help heal and salvage her reputation

4. It's not a question of liking and disliking.
I think that Hillary would be a HUGE liability on the ticket, to the point of possibly making it unelectable. I would think that, even if I really, really liked Hillary, and personally liked the idea of her as VP. I'm just not willing to lose the presidency over it.

5. He has two compelling arguments to be President

1. We need to change the way Washington works.

2. He (Obama) has demonstrated superior judgment on important issues (like Iraq).

By having Hillary on the ticket, he hurts BOTH of his compelling arguments.

6. I wouldn't want her as V.P., but it might be necessary and the only choice to sew it up.

7. I will not vote for her on any part of the ticket...
She's proven countless times at this point that her interests are herself and herself only and her actions are all about what is best for Hillary Clinton. I do not trust her and will never, ever cast a vote for her on any part of any ticket. If Obama wins the nomination his VP is for him to decide, not for him to placate Hillary and Bill's poor bruised ego.

8. Clinton would be great
I'm an Obama supporter, but what better way is there to make sure the race focuses on McCain, Bush, and Republicans, rather than on divisions in the Democratic Party? Most importantly, Clinton and Obama are not at all far apart on the issues. Obama would get a lot more votes than he would lose if he brought Clinton on board.

10. I support Clinton and think it's a bad idea
Edited on Sun May-11-08 02:15 PM by DemGa
The Obamas will forever blame BO's loss on Clinton anyway - the BLAME from a loss with this ticket would be simply incomprehensible.

Ed. Although I do think it's Obama's only shot at winning the GE.

12. Wes Clark would be better
Clark as VP should bridge some of the unity gap.

However, if Hillary is the VP I don't think it would be that bad. Unite the ticket and we win. No I do not trust her. But if she was part of the ticket, she would not do as much harm as some may fear. I think most Obama supporters would understand the idea of reaching out for unity in the party, even if Hillary is not the ideal choice. After all, she is VP....Obama is P. And I think the ticket would win.

I think it is easy for Obama supporters to forget how hard this nomination fight has been. It was no piece of cake to defeat Hillary. She still has many supporters. And many in the general public may have not noticed how negative Hillary has been towards Obama.

It could really ignite a lot of energy for the first woman and first black on a national ticket.

I still think Clark would be better, but I could accept Hillary as VP. As long as she doesn't have to bring along that Penn fellow, and as long as she could be a team player.

should be near the Oval Office or the Obama administration. Let her go back and serve the people of New York....

Hillary on this ticket is obliteration of the Democratic Party (and eventually Iran)

19. There is some word around that Michelle and Hillary are not good pals.
I think I can follow that scenario.

I'll support our ticket, as long as Zell Miller, Joe Lieberman, or the Orange Cleaner guy isn't on it.

But I would personally prefer that Obama choose someone other than Sen. Clinton.

20. My Mom wrote a letter to the Obama Campaign...
As an older jewish woman from New York (in short, Clinton Demographic), she is letting Obama know that if he selects Clinton as a VP, she will be unable to vote for him in November.
