For Those Who Would LOVE to see John Edwards on the Obama Ticket - Check in HERE
I know what I want for Mothers Day! I want to see an Obama/Edwards '08 bumper sticker on my Isuzu Rodeo! I get giddy just thinking about it.
Who else feels warm all over when they picture this?

33. How so?
Seems RATIONAL to me to question a candidate who in September of 2006 goes to work for a hedge fund (Fortress Investments) and then a week later, embarks on a two America's tour.

You don't see something wrong with that picture?

6. it would be cool
but I think Edwards may have moved on from the idea of being a VP. AG would be something interesting for him though. I'd love to see him in either position.

9. NO!
His message of two Americas is too close to TWO RACES.......won't work......

He has a family to take care of........advisor to President Obama.......work from home.......

That's all we can expect from this once media star........there's thousands of other not-so-beautiful looking men with equal intelligence and character....Obama has a lot to choose from... Edwards' day as a media star is OVER.

27. I have to take
umbrage -

Edwards is the real deal. I have never felt he was a media star. That sounds so shallow and trivializes a man whom I greatly admire. The Edwards I am familiar with cares about the poor and wants to help create a country we can all be proud of once again. His ideas for health care and social programs are fantastic. He is a smart man with a lot to offer beyond sitting behind a desk at home.

I hope that he will be offered the job -

peace.

11. I think it is irrelevant since I am sure Edwards is not interested.
I realize he has not signed the required DU pledge in blood that he does not want the VP spot, but I still do not understand what he would bring to the ticket that Obama lacks. Experience? Military or national security experience? A governor who has experience in running a state and its budget? Edwards is a great guy, but I don't think he helps to fill in the gaps for Obama in making a stronger ticket.

13. I supported Edwards for the nomination but I do not support him for VP.
I don't think he brings anything to the table as far as national security/foreign policy which is an area Obama needs to shore up. I'm a big fan but he needed to be on the top of the ticket this time around.

18. It Would Assuage Things A Bit For Me, But
That isn't the point.

Edwards wouldn't have the long adversarial history of the more controversial choice. He brings his own strengths and supporters. The ticket would seem more rounded, populist, and still comparatively progressive.

I think I am afraid Obama's going to make some off-the-wall or unknown choice exacerbating the difficulty of a Clinton supporter like me getting behind him. Since I was aboard with Edwards before Hillary, I would be happy with it. Yeah, I'd love it.

Edwards was my second choice in the beginning. I liked his stances but went with Obama for electability.
