How to meet Obama?
I would love to meet Sen. Obama, and i know my chances of getting to meet him are alot better now than they would be in November when he is president. I would love just to shake his hand (or throw him a high five), and tell him he is doing a kick ass job.

I live in Milwaukee, whats the best way of going about this?

1. Find a location near you he is coming to in the coming months and get there really early?

3. I have to work :(
I'm assuming during the campaign with McCain he will drop by Milwaukee again? I had a chance to meet him when he campaigned here but blew it, damn.

5. Then you will have to wait
He has bigger fish to fry with 6 upcoming contests than to deal with we (us?) schmucks who have already voted.

6. Check his website a LOT. Look for events that you could drive to...things
like a town hall where the group is smaller. Be sure to get tickets on the website as early as possible.
If you know someone in a state that is coming up, they might could get you one. If you have time to go
to an upcoming primary state and volunteer, your chances of getting tickets may be improved. Especially
for things like J/J dinner type events. Just keep an eye on the website for announcements. :hi:

7. I volunteered in my city, and then I was invited to attend a small town meeting
about 2 hours away. Here's my meet & greet picture! It's very possible!:

10. Oh, I'm telling you it was the highlight of the whole campaign for me!
I had 2 hours to drop everything and make the 2 hour trip up to the town hall meeting. I knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity I couldn't pass up. I had already let my boss & co-workers know ahead of time that if I had a chance while he was campaigning here in Indiana before the primaries, that I wanted off work to go. They let me go in a heartbeat because they knew how much it meant to me.

11. Heh, heh. We have some things in common--
We are both left-handers, our fathers both left us at 2 years old, we are almost the same age, and we think almost exactly alike from how he speaks & what he says!

14. you both look great
luck you

i think volunteering might be one of the best ways to do it outside of attending an event and hoping to get to the front and then hoping to shake their hand.

if you volunteer you might catch the candidate apart from the big crowds and get to say a few words to each other, get pictures, autograph etc.

16. Jump the velvet rope at any event...run as fast as you can toward him....
have your right hand held high to slap that high-five on him.

Be quick, now...and it helps if you're screaming, "I want to meet you!!!!" while you're running toward him.
