3. Let's see.
The tide has turned.

A new beginning.

She's found her voice. Again.

Doesn't really matter. She can have her day. It's still over.

9. Metaphorically speaking...
A day for what?

I won't rain on her parade.

It just feels like a game of charades - and I can't guess where she thinks this is going.

15. Oh in that case...thank god they are saving us this tuesday!! Lawd have mercy!
Nice touch with the being muslim who although has been to a christian church for 20+ years is now deemed both a muslim who hates america thru christian sermons.....mmmmm...best of both worlds....

my sock puppet Finigan tells me them's people are looking for a verbally discussable explaination not to vote for him instead of by default being quiet and being considered "undecided" (translation: a proud low-info closet racist who will vote non-niggra any day of the week, as long as it is private)

16. Because the MSM keeps propping her up and allows the likes of Terry McAuliffe
to spew his fake claim that Hillary's only behind Obama by about 100K votes without being challenged on his bullshit, since he knows he's including the disqualified FL and MI votes.

If some of those voters really believe Obama's a Muslim because they got a mailer that said so, I doubt they know what FL and MI are really about to see past the unchallenged Clinton campaign spin.

7. Her popular vote argument (*)
(*)which hinges on uncontested races in Florida and Michigan and the non-counting of votes in four caucus states, Iowa, Nevada, Maine and Washington, three of which Obama won and are collectively worth +110,000 votes to him.

Anything worse than 70% is a catastrophe.

10. I think we are finally past setting the height of the goal posts
Percentages mean nothing at this point.

The nomination process has served it's purpose and we have a wonderful nominee. :)

I empathize with a how damn tough it is to lose.

How curious will it be if she celebrates when her house of cards has already fallen.

24. Percentages mean nothing - it's the spin that matters
Actually, the spin does nor matter either.

The race is over, but congrats to Hillary on a win in WV.

To what end game - I have no clue.

Do enough WV voters know or care she has NO path to the nomination?

I think her new metric of who should win is based on who wins the uneducated white vote.

20. Or maaaybe a good showing will put her in a stronger position for the future and to support Obama?
I dunno. I don't like her Republican-style campaign, but her "victory speech" after Illinois sounded pleasantly like an Obama speech, as if she were trying to de-emphasize the differences and rebuild unity. One can hope that she is working to "deliver" her fans to the eventual nominee.

22. That's an optimistic spin
I like it.

Hillary graciously thanks her supporters, goes out on a win, then for the sake of party unity - concedes it is now time to drop out and focus on beating McCain. She throws her support behind Obama and EVERYBODY celebrates the end to a hard fought and historic nomination battle.

Of course....

That's being very optimistic! :hi:

27. I have no problem counting it...
I say we count every LEGIT primary where the states followed the rules per the DNC.

When the dust settles, WV will not change the outcome of who wins the most delegates.

But for tonight, congrats Monkey on a Hillary win.

28. I think she should celebrate a good win for her.
I'm an Obama supporter and I'm pretty confident in his candidacy. This state was a good one for her. Obama's still won about twice as many states (even though it's a delegate race) and that's something that shouldn't be forgotten. She's a tough candidate, about as tough as they come. She won this state and that's a good thing for her.

It's the decision on what they'll do with this win (the spin) that has the possibility of bothering me. I'll wait and see how that goes over the next few days.

Otherwise, good for her and her supporters and the good people of West Virginia.
