Yowzer...there really are a lot of deluded and misguided people in America...
Edited on Mon May-12-08 08:31 AM by Doityourself
From Forbes.com user comments(article: A Startling Collapse for Clinton, And An Inability to Let Go).http://blogs.forbes.com/trailwatch/2008/05/an-startling-co.html

There is no "startling collapse for Clinton" and no "inability to let go." The Democratic nomination process has been interfered with and undermined by an out-of-control pro-Obama biased media.

Black racism cannot trump the Democratic nomination process. Obama's lead in delegates, superdelegates and votes is due to the black racism in voting against Sen. Clinton.

Obama does not have the requisite number of delegates for the nomination; he has no presumptive lock on the nomination. The Democratic nomination process is still in progress and concludes when all of the remaining states have voted and the superdelegates select the best qualified candidate using their independent judgment. Sen. Clinton is the best qualified presidential candidate and she must continue her fight for the future of America.

Qualifications must be the unyielding principle, similar to the rule of law, for the presidential nomination. And there is no "backroom deal" in the unyielding principle of qualifications.

Swiping the nomination from Sen. Clinton with the premature end of the nomination process is a subversion of the Democratic nomination process, and Obama will crash and burn in November and the Democratic Party will be a train wreck in November. I will vote McCain. McCain will be president and it will be four more years of Bush under McCain.

and don't take my word for it- look at objective studies.

THE INVISIBLE PRIMARY—INVISIBLE NO LONGER
A First Look at Coverage of the 2008 Presidential Campaign

A study by the Project for Excellence in Journalism and the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy

http://www.journalism.org/node/8187

A couple of curious notes:

Many of us here- and certainly the corporate media knew about the Rev. Wright videos last summer, yet they didn't come out until fairly recently. Had the media laid into him back then, he probably wouldn't be where he is now.

Another curious finding was that McCain got hammered by far the hardest.

My thoughts are that this shows the corporate media is even farther to the right than many of us would have guessed.

5. If you are voting for mccain, then you obviously are for a permanent presence in Iraq
You are for his vote against the GI bill, you are against health care for 50 million uninsured, you are for the high energy and food prices, you are for judges like scalia and thomas, in fact, if you are voting for mccain you are NOT in the right forum so go find a non progressive right wing program

In other words, get lost

11. From the same blog, another comment (very pertinent):
Hillary Clinton lost to Barack Obama due to Obama's superior strategy and campaign organization. This article points out how difficult it is for Hillary to accept her defeat. Yet not so long ago, her official campaign website was hosting contests for the best Hillary Clinton campaign song, while Obama was focusing on his case for political change. Perhaps Hillary Clinton finds it diffcult to accept her own flaws and strategic errors and hubris.

But I agree with the OP - it's a real EDUCATION reading the blogs from newspapers, even Huff.Post, at times. For the most part, we're just playing Tiddly Winks in comparison--FORTUNATELY!!

13. Even a Broken Clock ...
Edited on Mon May-12-08 09:43 AM by Crisco
Black racism? Please. That's just silly and we should throw it out.

White male sexism is far more at play than any chips African-descended people may have on their shoulder (and that's not the same as "black racism," if there is such a thing), however the AA vote is being used as a cover, IMO. I call it "Revenge of the Pissed-Off, Sensitive '80s Male."

This part is absolutely true: The Democratic nomination process has been interfered with and undermined by an out-of-control pro-Obama biased media.. It has also been interfered with by Dem. insiders who are relentlessly feeding the press 3/4 of their stories.

I'm reading Invisible Man right now. More people should read that.

Meanwhile? Clinton supporters are still mostly delusional, as evidenced by this. He or she isn't alone. The one Clinton supporter I know in real life talks like this, too. And she's pro-life. WTFever.
