Rasmussen: McCain 47, Obama 44 in Virginia
Edited on Mon May-12-08 09:50 AM by dtotire
Closing in.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Virginia finds John McCain leading Barack Obama by just three percentage points, 47% to 44%. That’s a significant improvement for Obama after trailing the presumptive Republican nominee by eleven points a month ago.

3. Just wait until Obama is free to go in to full Campaign Mode.
McSame doesn't stand a chance.

4. Obama's numbers are going to go up even more
Once we get to the general election and the comparison is Obama to McCain we're going to see some real movement from the independents. McCain will seem more and more the doddering old fool to people with crazy ideas, a temper, etc. Yeah the swiftboats will come out, but unless they find something the Clinton camp couldn't, it's all stuff that the Obama camp has already learned to deal with. On top of that it'll more and more seem like old news.

Right now for most people, McCain is riding on name recognition and party lines. Give it 3 months of Obama vs. McCain comparisons and we'll be looking at a 10 point spread in November is my bet.

5. That's a pretty good starting point
As Obama undoes the damage done by Hillary and the Country gets to really know John McCain, this is going to shift heavily toward Obama
