I love West Virginia
Edited on Mon May-12-08 11:31 AM by Botany

Drive Rt. 219 sometime and tell me it is not one of the
prettiest drives in America.

Yes, it might not go for Obama tomorrow and it might go to McCain
in the fall because many will vote because "their pastors" tell 'em
that gays will take their bibles but it is a beautiful state with some
really great people too.

Cross Country Skiing among the Spruce and Firs trees w/
the sun setting will be w/ me till I die.

2. i live in kentucky
and while its mostly made up of bigot redneck people, its the most beautiful scenery you could ask for.

i go out every weekend to different state parks and hike.

if you love nature, youd love kentucky.

4. A beautiful place.
My memory of WV was from when I was about 9 years old. My parents took me on a driving vacation and we got lost in the mountains of WV. We wound up on a dirt road in the hills and passed isolated cabins with doors and windows wide open, dogs, pigs, and chickens in the yard, and no one in sight anywhere. We had the distinct impression we were being watched from behind the curtains and from behind the trees. This was about 60 years ago.

8. I'm never happier than when I'm in those hills
No matter how many short-sighted people have now turned thier ever-flowing rage on WV because the citizens have the gall to vote differently, I still love the place.

9. i've lived in a lot of places and
in wv for the last 16 years and have never loved a place like i love this place. my heart is currently breaking because in july we have to move to las vegas for DH's job. we're keeping our house here - renting it out. i'm hoping that connection will keep me from missing wv too much. can't wait till the day we come back, for good.
